Thread: Countering pure Con spam11 Aug 2014, 01:22 AM The fact that you know it's coming goes a long way towards countering con spam via advanced warfare. I've beaten some pretty good players with the following; - check the soviet base once a minute. No buildings means con spam. - build volks, upon volks with maybe a kubel if the map is open enough - once you get to 1 CP, break out MG34's. I build 2-3. - rush to the AA truck. That'll get you Obers. A pair of Obers is enough, . You'll know T34s show up around the 8-9 CP mark. That means shrecks, a pair of pupchens and mines should be ready in a timely fashion. In my last game I had an 88 ready by the time the first T34 stuck its nose out. - all other fuel saved for The King. In: OKW Strategies
Thread: Next patch ETA7 May 2014, 22:04 PM I don't see the issue with the Elefant at all. It shows up incredibly late in the game. Most of the time I'm eligible to get one, the game has already been decided one way or the other. I do enjoy the bitter tears of folks who creep up the field with two focus-fired SU85's for 40 minutes then lose their marbles when the tables are turned. I do think the balance has swung a smidge too far in favor of the ISU. If it goes to 10-11 CP's its probably fine. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Counter to the FHT 1v112 Mar 2014, 03:33 AM IMO, the short answer is to know its coming . Radio intercept is a hell of a drug. My second bit of advice is that if you're not prepared for it, soft retreat all your stuff and scatter it to different corners of the map (same advice goes for an ostwind by the way). I see way too many players just throw their conscripts at a FHT piecemeal and lose the game right then and there. Don't fight it until you're ready. That said I totally agree with the previous advice.. - Throw 2-3 squads at once (from different directions) with AT nades - Mines In: Red Army Strategies

I've tried T1 into penals a few times, but it always feels like the penals come out a hair too late. Will work on keeping my army together a lil' more. I've been having reasonable success matching them conscript for gren , but inevitably the grens scale better into the mid game. I start losing conscript squads as the action intensifies. Little buggers are tough. Turn pretty fast to boot. I've seen folks attempt to circle strafe it assuming its turn rate was comparable to a SU-85. A few seconds later and their scout car/halftrack is a smoking wreck. When they do make it to mid/late game they become a secondary target, often letting them sneak in a few shots while their P4 is circle strafing the crap out of my tank destroyers.
