Credit to googeling a for 4 minutes. Warfare anno 21st century. What's interesting is that even today every single one of those weapons would be deadly, even if they've long since been superseded. Obviously, a PPSh would be as murderous as ever in close quarters and I can see the Maxim giving someone a really bad day... but even the PTRD would probably cause a lot of problems for all the APCs we've been seeing, especially as they might even outrange something like an RPG... (though I'm not totally sure on that. Amazing pictures none the less, I wonder where they got those weapons from... In: The Library

I like how you guys harp on about how inferior Japanese tanks are when the game isn't just about tanks. I still think Anti-tank lunge mines, amongst other things, would be an awesome thing to put into the game. The Japanese can have all kinds of infantry counters to tanks. Given how allied players are used to facing off against markedly superior tanks all the time (with terrible infantry AT, which the Japanese probably wouldn't have) I don't see how different it would be for Japanese players. They started to create early war factions in ToW, they should give them automatch and add few new factions. That way we could also get france, japan, italy, maybe even grece, early british forces, the fun could never end. But they have chosen to pick late war timing when most countries are already defeated or use anachronic equipment. You can always do the Continuation war. That's slap bang in the time zone... Thread: Damn this balance4 Mar 2015, 14:29 PM Dunno why anyone would say that the T-34-85 is equal to the PIV, undoubtedly rng can screw you over every now and again when dealing with PIVs, but the T-34-85 undoubtedly has the better chance in an engagement, though Vet 2 PIVs I wouldn't be so confident about... but I'm not sure of the stats with that. In the end you will not stop player from blobing, everyone blob in rts games sc2 coh serious and other games... It's meta so deal with it. Umm... yes you can stop them from blobbing, if you make it as undesirable as possible. No, nobody can stop people from blobbing, but the disadvantages are such that if you do blob and the opponent has a clue, then they won't do it again in a hurry. And in other RTS games, people don't blob. Wargame is a perfect example where if your units are blobbed up, the morale effect of artillery, aircraft etc makes them almost entirely combat ineffective and easy picking for an enemy. Thus you are rewarded for spreading out your units more than just rushing everything toward the enemy as fast as possible. CoH2 doesn't have a morale system (a conventional one I mean, suppression kinda is one), so other ways need to be thought up. My suggestions would be to make their received accuracy higher and a received damage increase when a certain amount of squads are too close to each other, say 3. The options are there. The meta exists to be changed. In: COH2 Balance
