I suck at this game but my rank as soviets is around 200 in 2v2. So, yeah. I quited COH2 around few months after Brits vanguard were released, but played COH2 since its closed beta. vCOH since 2007. I knew the Sovjet well enough, thanks. I am no longer in fond of COH2 1v1 because of its design. If I want 1v1, I will play vCOH, US/Wehr. Rifles / Volks fight won't give you insane advantage just because "how much your penals costed higher than Grens" bullshit. Even a PG aggression can be countered by evading fight and strike at the right time. (Brits infantry 450, Rifles 270, when did IS being better than Rifles?) Meanwhile in COH2, I saw a Penals capturing a point in green cover, I know I cannot win this engagement without putting 2 times manpower-wise units into it, and even if I insist, I am going to risk my damaged Grens/Volks getting squad wipe by clown car at their retreat path, which is extremely easy to execute, thanks god Penals no longer getting their flamers, but a clown car with penals can still squadwipe a lone strumpio / MG42 easy enough. Make sure you do it in 1v1 or 2v2, not noobs vs noobs modes. I didn't made an argument for them, because it doesn't need any arguments, the shittiness of these units speak for themselves. That should help you find out and understand why penals are being used now. There is literally no need for any kind of argument, just go and see for yourself. Just because a unit overpowered enough to give you easy on every early engagement doesn't mean the other options are not viable. In: COH2 Gameplay
