Green cover is way stronger against non-small arms in this game than in coh1, if I made it easier to get green cover in every fight then I'd have to change all of those cover modifiers to worse. Crushing wire slowing light vehicles down, maybe. I'll have to check if the crushee action will actually apply something like that properly. Faster wire and/or wire on more basic infantry? Not really a fan, I might consider looking into it much later but to be honest all I see coming out of that is weird abuse rather than "strategic gameplay". Why? I really appreciate the art of wiring in langres of Inverse's strattalk back in COH1, to deny green cover, forcing opponent into your trap or killzone, minimizing the damage can be done by flanking, all this are strategic gameplay, I don't see why it is known as abuse. When do you see enough wire in COH2 torney that players use them for their advantage except wiring off cover? The investment of wiring time in COH2 and ease of destroying them proved, it doesn't worth doing at all. Sturm wire is double bladed, can be strategical good and abuse because it is really a good denial tool but unable to cut making it stupid. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Kappatch 2 1 Feb 2015, 07:13 AM Cruzzi? What's your opinion if getting the COH1 fast deployment speed of sandbag and wire to Pio, stumpio, Volks, Gren, CE, RE, infantry company Rifles? This stuff should increase the strategic depth of the game, COH2 wire is too slow to be effectively letting players altering the environment for their advantage. Light vehicle also arriving too early able to erase the wire too easily. How about light vehicle able to crush wire but slowing the speed for a while? Cutting wire doesn't making the cutter ultra vulnerable like COH1, how about adding this too? In: COH2 Gameplay

Gren is the worst basic infantry in game, with only 4 dudes you are forced to retreat at 2 or 1 men, and if you retreat at 1, it is very risky, yet they have very high reinforcing cost. At T1 stage, those guys are totally worthless and bleeding you manpower against horde of rioting Cons. No matter how good you use them in cover, Rifles just come over and kick their ass like Grens are untrained. I did't even mention vet 2 Rifles come out from nowhere at 90 seconds mark. At T2 they have LMG and begin to shine, their vet make them becomes good, but no matter how good you preserving them, squad cover AI ALWAYS making them being one shot by any AOE. Ostheer does not just only get fucked by their pathetic tech cost, their ridiculous reinforcing cost and squad AI (lowest squad member) making any Ostheer player getting frustrated. Prottruppen / Assgren doc is the sole saving grace of Ostheer by now. In: Lobby
