Thread: Ostruppen seriously11 Oct 2013, 05:56 AM I've never had a problem with ostruppen. This is because if I see even one I go shock army. ppsh and shock troopers cut through them like butter. Heavy mortars make sure they can't stay still making them completely useless and artillery will do the same even better. Not to mention destroying all those trenches. If there is such a thing as a counter doctrine, this is it. In: COH2 Balance

It's most effective when there is still 5 men in the squad, but when you are down to 2-3 men it still costs 60 munitions and u only get half the grenades. Maybe the cost should be 10 munitions per grenade so if you only have a few men in the squad you can still use it but to less effect? Sounds reasonable, but also hard as hell to program. For the Motherland seems like an absurdly big bonus for a universal, and the Howitzer is a bit much. Neither of them approach Ostruppen but y'know. I'm also tempted to say the resource exchange thing on the Ostruppen commander is way too cost-effective. 50 fuel for shreks + spare, 2 and a half LMGs or most of a railway arty... just seems a bit too good to me. The funny thing is, right now neither side likes the field HQ. The soviets think its too expensive for something so vulnerable and germans think it's buffs are too powerful. I think both sides would like it to be cheaper and less effective. In: COH2 Balance

I could be wrong, but I don't think the big pak has the same stats as the AT gun and it would receive different buffs, which the developers would state. In: COH2 Gameplay
