It doesn't matter that your tank hunters and ATguns are better than the enemy's, if he can receive twice as damage as you. But that's the problem. If this game was designed right the US wouldn't need a tank that can sustain damage. Heavy vehicle dominance has always been a problem in this game. In: COH2 Balance

If you were to give the USF the Pak 40 and the Wehrmacht the 57mm I think the problems would remain (in fact since lower penetration isn't such a big deal versus thin-skinned allied tanks, and 70 range is a big deal, the 57mm might even be superior for the Germans). Eh? I'm pretty sure it has a firing rate just lower than a Pak 40 does, which itself has a great RoF. The reason people percieve the US AT being bad is because they have no aggressive AT. The only real good AT measures they have are the 57mm and the jackson, both of which rely on range making them poor in clustered areas. Upon this they don't have a real barrage weapon to clear the support from tanks like the katyusha can do for the SU85. They are forced to play defensive and hope that the axis player makes a mistake otherwise axis players will slowly break their defenses with stukas and offmaps. Atleast if bazookas were buffed they could actually have another form of decent mobile AT and not be so defenseless in small spaces. In: COH2 Balance

I doubt even if they were buffed they would be enough to counter heavies alone. Even schrecks don't do that and I'm not suggesting we actually make them better then schrecks, just better then they are currently. Besides if the rifles are arming up on zooks they won't have as much AI strength as if they chose bars. Arming both is expensive. In: COH2 Balance

Also, show me a replay where an AT gun reaches vet 2 and stays alive to be useful. Well not really. The schreck is always bundled in some way which means they come at a small discount like the T34-85 dual call-in. If they came separately their price would be more like 70 munis. That being said they are probably twice as effective so I think the balance is still skewed. The us really needs the bazookas to be better. They have enough light vehicle counters, they need help dealing with tanks. A damage buff or pen buff would be good. As for the at gun, it becomes really good at vet 1 with its ability which it gets pretty fast since its pretty cheap. The only thing it needs is a pen buff for the at rounds. Even with the ability on it has less pen then the other at guns. It makes it really hard to fight heavy tanks even if you did everything right. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Help me with some COH history please4 Sep 2014, 20:25 PM 1. A heavily German biased poster who liked to throw insults at anyone who didn't agree with him. Was banned, but likely came back as warthrone. 2. March deployment and Elbe day was a two part change to the game to increase tactical play. March deployment dealt with infantry since it increased infantry lethality so people would use cover. Before hand it was very easy to charge through no cover with minimal casualties making units like shocktroopers very strong and con rushes easy. This resulted in a heavy advantage for the ostheer as grens were much better then cons and pios could go toe to toe with cons despite being much cheaper. All while maintaining their much stronger late game. Elbe day fixed the issues in march deployment and also equalized tank gameplay. It added penetration by range and made most tanks do similar damage and health. Before t34s did half the damage they do now and were only good for their ram which would destroy the main gun and engine every time it penned. Panthers also had heavy tank health which made them really hard to kill.. 3. The tiger ace used to be completely free, but the penalty lasted all game. It also did double damage and took half damage. Then relic limited the penalty to only 10 min. I think you can see why it was pretty overpowered. The only way to beat it was to either win before it came out or get a lucky ram off to disable it.
