Also, I was surprised not to see the famous German motorcycle with MG-42 attached to its side cart, or one with PM-41 for Red Army.

Hello strategists,
I see a lot of German players going into Tiger doctrine. What are the signs of this in the early or mid game? Like lack of LMG on grens, or no light vehicles in early game?
And how should I determine what doctrine my opponent is going? And should I even bother trying to figure out this in 3vs3 or 4vs4 games?)
My point is if I can tell that Germans will roll out Tigers, I can adjust my play style, start saving fuel for ISU152 and muni for IL2 bombing run.
Also, second question. How do you kill a Tiger? Last time I rammed it with T34 and dropped bombs on it almost at same time. Then I finished it with 5 shots from ISU152. Vet two Tiger went down, but mostly due players negligence. He did not even try to save it.
What are your tactic. |
The most frequent killer of my ISUs are tigers. Go figure.
The most frequent killer of my ISUs is my stupidity. Go figure. |
The Elefant can´t hit anything but tanks. A supported ISU-152 is borderline OP. It can oneshot whole squads and 2 shot StuGs and Panzer IVs. Supported by SU-85 it can´t be countered.
They seriously should think about giving the thing a more realistic reload time. The real ISU-152 could fire ONCE A MINUTE, not every 10 seconds. Of course it shouldn´t fire once a minute for gameplay reasons, but a shot every 10 seconds is ridiculous. -.-
They also made this tank of glass. If Relic brings ISU-152 closer to what it really was during WW2, you won't be able to beat it any way. |
Why? Are Penals supposed to counter MG42s or something?
Actually, the situation is currently the exact opposite.
Penals own the everloving hell out of Grens.
I dont understand how you can say something that is so utterly contradictory to the actual facts of these units stats.
Key: Near / Medium / Far
Penals: 34.674 / 21.816 / 8.952
Grens: 15.1 / 9.608 / 4.116
Thats more than twice the DPS on Penals that have the same survival coefficient as Grens.
Maybe you can show me a replay in which Grens "kill penals really good"?
I dont understand how someone can claim what you did, with a straight face, as if there was any objective factual basis for it, whatsoever. Blows my mind, completely...
As to Penal improvement: Reduce MP cost and swap Flamer for PTSR upgrade to diversify and enable non-Commander Sov early AT. It would be a "poor man's shrek", on a unit with otherwise good ranged DPS, and doesnt step on Guards, since Guard have 1.5 armor, upgradeable Button, but worse DPS.
Hey Nully, could you provide us with link where you get this stats on damage? Thanks. |
Oorah gives you a speed bonus which you could you use for:
1. Chasing a tank to throw an AT nade which will slow the tank down and in many scenarios it will help your ZiS or SU85 to finish the kill.
2. Getting away from MG42 range while it is getting set up to fire and pin.
3. Increasing the distance between your squad and flamers pioneers.
4. Running away from flamer HT. If your engies have mines layed down in close vicinity (and they really should), run over the mines so flamer half truck will chase you and...... Ka-Boom!!!
5. Escaping Stuka bombs or off map arty. When you see these purple smoke popping out right on your cons, hit Oorah and get away. You only have few seconds to escape.
6. Getting faster to front lines when it's really needed. Like helping out other squad or reinforcing vet three ZIS or to steel enemy's armor (my favorite).
7. Run Forrest, run!!!! |

A question is HM-38 120mm mortar.
Can I damage/ kill an Ostwind with this?
Ostwind has no top, so technically dropping a 35 pound shell right on it should at least kill the crew, right? |
I still can't understand why to make the game so unrealistic. 35 pounds shells bounce off the crew helmets, molotovs do zero damage to tanks, 14,5mm PTRS is useless against infantry and so on so on... |
So you're saying the shell will deflect off the Ostwind?
How will it deflect, if Ostwind has no top?)) |
