I feel like you aren't taking upgrades into account. LMG's and Panzershreks are markedly stronger than any allied upgrades. J. Lee has mentioned doing work on veterancy more than once on stream so "soon."
The detection radius is already pretty generous. And the way to kill jp4 is generally to flank it with something with a big gun on it anyway. You can also just smoke it off to neuter it from participating in an engagement.
Does anyone know if recon planes reveal it?
You can also use attack ground to reveal it, if you manage to hit it.
Nothing insane happens in this game but I thought it was a decent one. A fair number of heavies show up and actually, no bug splats, performance issues, ridiculous rng or exploits (beyone Maxim spam) happened so I guess I'd call it a GG.
"Call-ins tied to tech" was a phrase coming from EVERYONE when call-in meta was super OP. Now it's simply OP. Please tie them to tech and adjust their costs accordingly.
The hopeful side-effect from this would be non-doctrinal units seeing more play... in a perfect world.
I've been using the command PIV since long before the aura changed to area rather than map sectors and I definitely think in its' current state it shouldn't receive its own buff. Same as the Command Panther.
Here's a replay where the mortar HT gets locked in place and cannot do anything. I've had this happen countless times. Again, a bug reported AGES ago by many people. Good luck watching the out of date replay
AFAIK the smoke issue was when you give a barrage command at max range then immediately give a move command. Smoke shells should just straight up have less hang time, like half. The barrage cooldown bulletins for mortars do in fact stack and can be kinda silly to use.
I think the Oorah! they get should be available from the get-go or at vet 1.
If they keep it at vet 2 it should be a special Oorah! which gives increased explosive and suppression resistance to fit their role as suicide troops who are frequently thrown into danger.
Oh, I like the idea of a unit with some resistance to AOE and explosives and it fits the flavor of Penals perfectly.
