Thread: Banging Our Heads Against a Wall. 6 Jun 2017, 03:28 AM My 2v2 partner and I have had a string of bad luck, not sure if it's the new changes (we were a bit rusty) but we're getting run over late game and I wonder if you all could give some advice on how to break our unlucky streak. In brief, tried some early game aggression, didn't play out too well, the opponents were well coordinated. Set up a strong defensive line so we played the flanks alright. Then the never ending T34 streams come out and we kill scads of them, but to no avail, and the infantry we are killing left right and center runs over us. There were certainly some micro issues, but it felt like there was an incredible amount of constant pressure. Even when we tried to push out after our brief victory, it wasn't enough. And don't get me started on vanilla T34s getting my panther to half health before running away loling. Anyway any advice would be much appreciated. Thread: Dealing with Ost9 Apr 2015, 18:34 PM So after this new patch I've had a hard time winning games against the ostheer and it seems like that's what most people are playing right now. Generally I see player go heavy T1 5 grens, MGs, mortars, then into T3 for the P4s. It's still the blob I'm having a hard time breaking, 4 grens with LMGs eat almost anything your throw at them. I can cap around the blob, but eventually you have to deal with it, and if they park on the fuel they're going to have tanks out which complicates matters. Mortars are a soft counter at best and get run over all the time, maxims go down to 1 rifle nade cause they love to cuddle. I've had some lols with demo charges but those aren't very consistent. I'm just curious to see how you all are adjusting to the new meta, I'm definitely struggling. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Bunkers need something.17 Feb 2014, 00:07 AM I'm tired of seeing all kinds of games with the Germans putting down more bunkers than the Maginot Line and winning because it takes resources to deal with the inexhaustible supply of shovels and sandbags. I'm fine with bunkers as a concept, but the spamming of bunkers gets really old and I don't think it is what relic intends ( I hope). I'd really like to see some consequences for putting down a blue million of them, like when you put an MG/forward reinforce/medics, it costs a little pop cap or something. Their cost coupled with the quick build time means that I can't even focus down a pio squad building it under fire from any kind of range a lot of the time. I also don't think that assault grens should be able to build them at all, grens I can take or leave, but assault grens are already early game monsters and when that monster can build a bunker on your cutoff it gets dumb really fast. Thread: 2v2 strats15 Sep 2013, 06:27 AM I was wondering what was working for people in 2v2. I've been going t2 to t3. Consx 3 to mollys, T2 with and AT gun, then T3 with T34s. My buddy I play with has been going T1 to T4. playing with some penal battalions in scout cars for dealing with MGs and then going to T4 for the SU85s. We've been doing well in the early game, but we end up getting rolled by waves of german armor. No matter how many MGs we take down/steal and grens we drive off it doesn't seem to matter. Both opponents build P4s, flank everything and GG. We can't seem to take enough map control early to keep the armor rush from happening. If you hold 50% you've got all the armor on the way. What have you all been doing and is it working ? In: Red Army Strategies
