RTS player numbers are down everywhere, the makers of SoaSE already proclaimed that RTS are dying and we should all be switching to mobile devices where we can touch our units.

Historically speaking, the Panther was germany's answer to the T-34. While the former was better armored and had a *slightly* better weapon, the T-34 had superior range and mobility. It's not as crass a difference as the game displays it.

The PzKw IV was ment as a support tank for the Stug III, mainly vs. Infantry and small Tanks like the T-70. The T-34 wtfpwned The Panzer IV so hard though, that the Germans developed the Panther. Later models of the PzIV (and those in the game) had a much better weapon. What is especially egregious, is that the T-34 can not reliably penetrate PzIV armor, while the PzIV can penetrate the T-34. That's so completely wrong, Stalin just turned over in his grave. Therefore, I think penetration of the T-34 should be upped considerably. That would also have the welcome side-effect of exciting T-34 vs. PzIV duels, instead of those lame stone-paper fights the current game pace provides.

The game has tank balance completely upside down. Balance is more important than realism is correct, but realism had balance as well, and - I am just leaning outside the window here - the leaders and engineers of the two biggest armies of the world did understand tank balance a tad better than relic does.

The Tiger is just a stronger panther. Elephant is the only thing that can reliably take care of SU-85s.

I agree. The T-34/76 as it stands right now is completely useless, except for his ram ability, which is OP. The T-34 needs a complete overhaul in scope and functionality imo.

1 -Weapon Team Sizes. 6 man mg and 6 man AT guns are NOT ok. all german and russian mgs and AT guns need to be 4 man teams. and mortars should remain 3 for german, 4 for russian.

I think this is potentially a L2P issue. Relic probably wants Wehrmacht to advance more carefully and one-dimensional: You have to keep your units close together and pierce into the enemy realm. Conversely, Soviet is more of an "all over the map" zerg-style play. However, there are two major problems with this scenario. The soviet is incredibly (too) efficient at dealing with clumped units and - worse - with how soon soviets can pull out tanks and turn the game into an irreversable stompfest, you can't really justify slow and careful advances (while the rest of the map is already being countercapped). Ostheer works better if the map is small and MGs and other stuff can cover a good share of the map.

At least that is what I am experiencing. I also saw this strategy in the launch cast, where the relic devs pretty much just spearheaded into the middle and fortificated it. Since the map was so small, it was very easy to fall left or right while also being supported by cover fire.
