I'd kind of prefer to see the current functional roles of the stug and Panther more or less swapped.
I'd rather the stug be the blocky meatshield and the panther be the go-to solution for killing allied tanks.
Right now the best role the panther plays is eating shells. It's armor and health pool most after vet 2 is all that allows it to try and deal damage.
I wonder how feasible it would be to throttle the stugs DPS but give it a larger health pool and armor bonus at least at vet 2.
IMO, the earlier a unit can be fielded the more it should benefit from vet. The later, the stronger it should be fresh at vet 0. |
As far as my experiences have been, if the team weapon itself is in the center of the AOE it died. Mgs and mortars at least.

Imo all loiter planes should be changed to single pass strafes that are cheaper and faster. Loiters seem to swing between two extremes: useless or OP. Either option is broken.
Recon loiters as well, but those I think aren't so offensive. Thas where you might really want that AA.

Jaeger light infantry does seem like an odd choice. I wonder if something as simple as stormtroopers might fit into that commander...

I had a thought about the is2s vet 1 ability...
What if it was replaced with a sort of Hulldown ability that locked down the sector it hulls down in?
It'd fit the kind of theme of its existing ability, but allow for the soviets to use the is2 to really hold a point, similar to how KTS are best over watching a critical VP.
