Buffing this ability would have no effect on their indirect fire power. In fact it's probably the opposite; if Counter Barrage was actually useful it would be used more which would mean Ostheer would more often forfeit their own indirect fire to be protected from the enemy's indirect fire, because generally speaking enemy indirect fire hurts them more than theirs hurts the enemy. my argument is if you buff this unit it will encourage even more spamming to an already spammed and extremely effective unit.. this unit is already cancer in team games, combined with insta-supressing t0 and cheap mg it is a unit that shouldn't be buffed... in any way, be it counter barrage or otherwise if there are going to be changes to this unit then it can not be a buff, it needs to be a measured change, if something is improved it absolutely has to be also nerfed in another way.. it is far too effective for it's cost.. british forces are probably the weakest faction in the game because of how strong ost is In: COH2 Balance

It was not even a viable/proper option! ostwind was perfectly fine, it was just unfavoured.. not underpowered.. the pIV was simply the better, all rounder, option, the correct approach to balance was to offer a more defined role for the unit rather than just being marginally better than the pIV against infantry, ie buff its moving accuracy slightly because axis are apparently too brain dead to figure out how to use it effectively in it's previous state and at the same time nerf the pIV AI to give both units more defined roles, the balance team has stupidly done the exact opposite now both units are ridiculous your bias is showing, how can you compare the ostwind to the centaur now, the ostwind is much quicker and now more effective against tanks and just as good against AI and it's cheaper.. ridiculous axis fanbois.... Thread: Ostheer vulnerability to indirect fire23 Jun 2019, 01:17 AM buffing a spammed unit like the ost mortar is the last thing the balance team should be considering.. it's already encourages very poor gameplay in team games british forces suffers from the same issues of indirect fire, it is why ost players spam them, especially in team games, combined with the insta suppressing mg42 is ridiculous enough, to buff this combination further is to create further imbalance in team games.. this is the problem with the balance team listening to teh community, the vocal majority of which are all about making the game easier to suit their play style rather than try and objectively contribute to the balance of the game In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Ostwind's penetrations23 Jun 2019, 01:06 AM it's amazing how this community is hell bent on ruining this game for those talking about the centaur can you imagine if it had the speed of an ostwind? the reason the ostwind wasn't popular wasn't because it was ineffective, it was solely because the panzer was extremely effective against infantry but also a very good medium tank.. the balance team of the past understood this and that is why it wasn't "fixed", but unfortunately this "balance" team completely confused unfavoured with underpowered, ridiculous so now you have a panzer that still retains it AI and the buffed ostwind that can now support the AT capabilities of the panzer if the ostwind is going to be a so exceptional at AI plus have the benefit of doing significant damage against tanks then fine but that has to mean the panzer will need to have a significant AI nerf in reality the ACTUAL balance fix here would of been to nerf the AI of the panzer and slightly buff the ozwinds moving accuracy therefore giving an actual roll to the ostwind.. in truth the ostwind was always effective if people bothered to actually learn how to use it but why bother with it when you can get one of the best medium tanks instead which was still effective against infantry balance my ass In: COH2 Balance
