That name actually sounds like plausible name for a village in Russia
I like most changed.. but..
Why would they make T70 slightly more accurate, while making P4 way more innacurate, and not nerfing the SU85? Also, no changes to the pak...
They should really just add a Reigel Mine ability to halftracks by default since that'll be the way to deal with the SU's now.
Also: 1 frame delay between unit orders? Is that a mistake in the notes or something? Delay feels like 2 seconds, not a frame |
Also, from personal experience:
I used to work for a visual effects company, and sometimes we'd get a job to "pretty up" game trailers.. especially in the effects department, such as smoke, explosions.... |
God you're thick, WW2 can be fictionalized just like anything else.
Look, I didn't say it can't
Just that this campaign is so one-sided that it can twist the perception of real facts in minds of anyone who plays it |
people who are angry really need to get over it quickly or leave- whats done is done, relic can't do anything to fix it and complaining will get you no where.
The fact of the matter is you're complaining about a fictitious story, that means its not real- it never happened.
Get it?
Thats like calling 1984 by George Orwell racist because it portrays post-war British people as brainwashed minions
What's done is done, indeed. This is a way of making sure it doesn't happen again.
How does your example even work? WW2 isn't some fictional book, the events were very real.
Also: "British" isn't a race. |
blahblahblah
Communism was a bigger threat to the world than Nazism ever was, and if you needed proof all you need to do is look at the post-World War II shitstorm Stalin insured happened. I wish the Americans went on with Pattons plan. That is, armed the Germans, make them an army and go to war with that disgusting abomination called the Soviet Union.
A bigger threat to the world than Nazism? And your proof for that is the post-WW2 Europe? The one free of Nazi rule, right??
What did you think Germans were going to do if Russia surrendered? Send flowers to everyone????
Holy shit don't type in this forum anymore

"I am an American and our history books and movies are better than yours!! Read our history books and learn something, it's the truth! Oh yeah, also read the internet!!"
-some people on the forum
Seriously?
This is how we get campaign stories like these where game developers create their own fiction and are apparently so deeply involved in it that they confuse them with a large picture of the events and believe that their own made-up storyline make them classified historians.
Lets see here... not a single Historical Adviser in the credits. Great!
So here is a quote by their Campaign Supervisor, before the game came out:
"We don't spend too much time on the sensitive issues of political ideology," lead campaign designer Jasen Torres told Eurogamer in an interview.
Yeah, not too much time, just all of it. |
Bloody pig-dog nationalists take everything seriously- its a fucking story, don't take it seriously, you're not getting hurt, its not affecting you in anyway, you're just turning people off the game for no reason.
Seriously. God dammit, i mean sure its an number that means nothing unless you give it power but often i decide how i buy my games from meta-critic, and when stuff like this happens its not good for anyone.
Sure, it's just a fucking story, however, it attempts (not purposefully) to twist the reality of things. This is now the image that thousands of teenage minds will be getting and associating the soviet history with. It's like asking someone nowadays what they know about the battle of Stalingrad - "uhh they didn't have a rifle for everyone" where did they get that from? Enemy at the Gates, or Call of Duty (which had a mission in turn based on the movie) |
I've seen a lot of people saying that the Germans got a good campaign in vCoH and the Russians got negative one now and that this was unfair of Relic. I see their point, but if you look at CoH2 compared to vCoH, CoH2 is a lot darker in general. I think they are trying to show how horrible war is as opposed to glorifying it this time round. If they do a German campaign in an expansion, I have no doubt it will also be pretty dark.
The war was absolutely horrible - there is no denying that.
Relic decided to focus on a war contained in the Soviet army - instead of focusing on the brutality of the main conflict - which was fighting the Germans who were invading the Soviet Union. It's extremely hard to understand that decision and there is no defending that.
This is just adding to the inaccurate portrayal such as in movies like Enemy at the Gates - another thing to add to the already twisted view of the Eastern Front in western minds.
Completely atrocious decision by Relic - can only hope for a DLC to redeem the franchise. |
because you were there, oh wait...
Hi there. Were you?
|
The truth is, they really fucked up with the campaign by managing to offend every Russian player to cater to the western image of the war. The war crimes in reality are minimalistic in comparison to the heroism of the soviets soldiers fighting for their country in the war. And the metascore reflects that |
