Thread: No Tech Call-in Tanks18 Aug 2016, 10:17 AM i think the general problem with most call in tanks besides heavy tanks is that they are too cheap. call ins should be a temporary advantage, but a disadvantage later on. coh solved that by making call-ins manpower only, and that hurt because you always need manpower. the problem with coh2 is that when you rely on call ins and dont tech, you float a lot of fuel, so the fuel tag on the call in does not really harm you in any way. therefore two options exist: -increase the manpower price of call-ins -increase the fuel cost dramatically, so that spamming them (4 m4c shermans as soviets lololol, etc) is impossible In: COH2 Balance

Thread: the problem with USF mortar16 Aug 2016, 10:08 AM Jump back to quoted post16 Aug 2016, 09:09 AMskyshark the mortar doesn't instawipe squads or mg42s anymore again, i have to disagree. i experienced the contrary a lot of times since the bugfix one instance comes to my mind, where my mate recrewed an enemy us mortar and with its first shot it ohk'ed an enemy at gun. and that is just one example the thing about the sniper is that it costs a lot more and is a lot more risky. and quite frankly, a sniper cannot help you if the enemy mortar kills your mg and rifles recrew it In: COH2 Balance

It only becomes really punishing if you blob or keep your guys still. lol. i have lost a lot of moving squads to the mortar aswell, as its AOE very good. i play a lot of wehrmacht (and dont blob btw) and those 4 man squads are very susceptible to mortars. Thread: Why Blobbing is so Prominent in Coh211 Aug 2016, 20:22 PM Jump back to quoted post11 Aug 2016, 19:08 PMTheMachine I think the suppression that HMG's output is fine, but as I'm arguing here, the unreliability of them stems from how easily the gunner can be decrewed (not always just because of LMG's) and how easily they are wiped by explosives due to clumping. honestly, if you compare it to coh1 (where blobbing was less prominent, especially in the USF vs WM matchup) the mgs supress and pin much slower and in a much smaller radius. if you tried to run at an mg42 with a rifleman, it got absolutely murdered. in coh2, not so much. second of all, your point about grenades irritates me a little a) they are too strong against mgs b) they are too weak again, lets take vcoh: nades were MUCH stronger there, a us nade ALWAYS killed an mg for example. the thing is, you cant make nades that strong in coh2, as input lag sometimes prevents you from being able to move. still, nades should be stronger. together with a buff to hmgs, it should be good (on a sidenote: if one buffs the vickers supression, its range in houses would need a nerf. even if not, it still needs a house range nerf. sitting in a house and countering the counter to units in houses (sniper) is just ridculous) In: COH2 Gameplay
