The microphone is totally independent of the headphones, its only some plastic that connects it into one piece and results in 50% extra price... Its more about the quality of the microphone and whether it has noise supression or not. You may not want to take the cheapest 2$ microphone. The simple clip-on microphones have the weakness to record in all directions. Fixed microphones with noise reduction usually consist of two microphones. The regular one and one that is heading into the other direction, recording the surrounding. Thereby it is able to filter out the voice. Mics like this are also available separately. Thread: Looking for new Headset..27 Jul 2013, 16:28 PM I can only agree that gaming headsets are usually rip off. Regular hifi headphones give you way more quality per $. I personally have to say, i have tested Sennheiser and am not 100% happy with the 50-100$ cathegory. They have high frequencies dominating, which is good for speech, but should you ever listen to music or want some "whoom" during explosions they are a bit underwhelming imo. They are by no means bad, but i found that AKG are better alrounders in that cathegory. The AKG K540 is a good choice for example In: Hardware and Tech

Then they stayed for the first weeks in case of emergency and now that the game runs stable, they allowed to take their vacation. It is usual that around this time after release a large portion of a dev team is on post-launch vacation. Thus, don't expect huge movement right now, but in the near future. People saying "its out for 4 weeks and nothing has happened" are not taking this into account... Further, it is known that THQ was pushing things because they needed money soon. Sega stepped in just half a year ago and gave them a few more months to polish things. A few months are not much to do anything major, but rather enough to get things in line. New features are definitaly on the agenda (just ask people who have been on the vancouver community meeting). Spectator mode is one of the features which has been definitaly confirmed. I am not saying everything is perfect right now. I'd also like to see things happen immediately. But people need to get a sense of how fast things can happen for real in industry. There's a lot of people involved, quality assurance, etc. So, lets wait for the summer break to end and see what they come up with. In: Lobby

The thing between Hans and Ivan (+some experts) is between them. Hans may have contact to some Relic devs himself, due to community meetings. But Coh2.org is not involved! However, harassment and trolling above a certain level will not be tollerated here. Thats why some posts are invisibled. This doesnt exclude anyone! In fact, the whole moderation on COH2.org is extremely relaxed. Maybe 0.1% of the total amount of posts are moderated. Compare that to GR.org, where you most likely would see a lot more posts being removed than you see here.
