This is hilarious because OKW has had both a quality and cost advantage over USF in particular for sometime. The JLI pretty much shuts down USF. They already have 1 unit (Volks) superior and cheaper than Riflemen now they get two! LOL! Much of what OKW has is not appropriately priced.
Don't get me wrong, I love this doctrine. But frankly, its so good it's almost like there is no reason to pick any other doctrine. I can't believe how much stuff comes with it. Some stuff they maybe should just make non-doctrinal like the Half-Track, or maybe even the 76mm Sherman.
The Stuart is a soild and powerful light vehicle, maybe the most powerful light vehicle in the game. It has to be supported as its anti-infantry capabilities are limited. With the old tech tree it was difficult to support but now it is available with the. 50 cal HMG and the M20 scout car so it has some good supporting units. It can soak up a lot of damage for a light vehicle so its decent for taking on MGs, bunkers, 20mm flak cannonns in addition to other light vehicles like the Luchs or 222. But, being a light vehicle itself, it is easily fausted and killed by dedicated AT weapons and preforms pretty poorly against Pumas.
Do you guys realize that if you're USF against OKW (in say a 1v1 match) every single starting unit your opponent has is superior to your own units while being similarly priced?
You brought up Jager Light Infantry in your complaints about OKW units and Commanders. I asked if they (JLI) have snares or any AT abilities, I was later told they do not. That is how it relates to your question.
I anticipate similar complaints about USF's Cavalry Riflemen with Mechanized Company. Many say they are too cheap and akin to a cheap Ranger sqaud (I don't agree with this though).
why do you think that vanilla airborne pathfinders are better than airborne barfinders? just because aiborne barfinders have a quite high chance of dropping their bars?
Do JLI have panzerfausts? They can be good at killing MGs but for balance reasons they shouldn't have also have a snare or AT ability.
As long as you have a T0 HMG42 the way it is now, you will always have an overwhelming advantage over either western faction. Its all about proper placement and it will always be far easier to place an HMG than for your opponent to dislodge one.
