If the engine can display it like it displays selection rings that shouldn't be a problem visually. Overall such an addition would probably clutter the UI quite a bit. Lots of unique models in Squads with different weapons, selecting multiple different squads with different ranges etc. Just tested this with the Flak HT: the game hides range rings if you select multiple units. As for infantry, how much variation is there in max range? Ideal range varies wildly but I've never seen an infantry squad be unable to fire on another infantry squad attacking it before. It's a useful aid for positioning those units. It'd also be very useful for tanks, long-range infantry squads and mortar teams. With a range ring it'd be very easy to see how close a unit has to be to fire on a specific area making long range engagements easier to manage. I could see it being particularly useful for positioning long range tanks like SU-76s and Panthers. The rings only appear on the units you have selected so they wouldn't clutter the UI. Would increasing the number of units with range rings be worthwhile or would it create other problems I haven't spotted? In: COH2 Gameplay

Units with no/minimal micro but can wipe based on a dice roll is just bad. Barrages should be where its at. However: with that big of a cut in performance i think they should probably be able to flee with a single model same as the 120mm (who tbh shouldnt be able to) but thats just gravy to me. You wouldn't necessarily have to cut the performance - the loss of autoattack could be offset by reworking the barrage. For example, you could make the barrage a toggle: have the mortar continue to barrage indefinitely until ordered otherwise. When you tell the mortar to stop the barrage goes on cooldown. Thread: Is OKW dead? what's your opinion? 8 Mar 2018, 17:51 PM They seem fine in terms of power if you lean on their strongest units. Their issue now is more a lack of variety. Both the OKW and USF tech forks have a clearly superior choice in 1v1 at the moment. Why would you ever go Luchs when you can get a better shock unit (the Flak HT) faster, cheaper and without giving up healing? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Riflemen Sandbags8 Mar 2018, 17:36 PM Increasing the build time on tank traps would make them even less useful for their actual purpose. A better solution would be to make them yellow cover instead of green and give REs actual sandbags for green cover. In: COH2 Balance
