Thread: Coh2 Ranking26 Jun 2013, 18:54 PM So I asked specifically about servers and ladders when I was in Vancouver. Greg Wilson answered me. He said that Relic is already running servers in-house that are serving information to Steam servers for matchmaking. They are fully aware of how much we want ladders and I hope that we can see some robust and moderated ladders in the near future. There will always be difficulties with keeping a P2P game free of cheats, and those will have to be dealt with as the system is implemented. It was a question of budget. First they needed to finish the game and give it the kind of polish that the franchise deserved, hope it made money (which is looks like it is), and then go to work on the features that we are requesting to make it a better game for competition. The early game was actually very good for us- we took about 80% of the map more or less (as Soviets). I think the first full squad loss was a German grenadier too; but these guys have some really slick moves to pull and after the initial 10 or so minutes things really slid away from us. Never been so happy to be beaten- these guys really do know their stuff. Heh I snuck on to one of the machines after this game and swiftly preserved the replay. If all goes to plan and Bobby is able to run the "Press Build" on his machine in L.A., the 3 of us (Lynx, Yoink, and myself) will shoutcast this game tonight on the sundaynightfights channel at midnight Pacific Daylight Time.
