Good lord the OKW does NOT need any of these retarded changes.
The trucks, at least the medic one, does not need separate medics because otherwise mech truck players will be extra screwed since they will have to pay for the truck, the tech, AND the medics. Where healing for other factions are cheap to purchase, OKW will have to spend for a whole tech just to get healing.
And what's this about volks turning into Grenadiers Mk.II? Removing schrecks and adding panzerfaust? Adding anti infantry Stg 44s? Really? Riflemen are unique in that they are the best AI core infantry in the game, grenadiers unique with their ability to scale into late game with MG42 lmg, conscripts unique with their good squad size and merge ability, and tommies with their ability to scale to late game with their upgrades. Volks are meant to be an all around unit in that they can do good damage to both infantry and vehicles, but can still be easily beaten by other infantry into the late game, in which the OKW will have to invest into a separate unit which is the ober5s.

I meant "suicide units" as in inexpensive scouts, meatshields, and mine clearers. Conscripts will still be all around infantry, guards are the elite infantry, shocks are close range infantry, while penals will be just that. Other than a unit without a purpose, they get a new one. Of course they'd have to give out less vet, otherwise we'd just get another churchill-ish vet pinata..
What does one get penals for nowadays? Falmethrowers? Engineers have that already. To get "better" infantry than cons? Kek. Trolling your enemies and allies? Double kek.
What you guys are suggesting are damage buffs and stuf. I mean, that's cool and all, but what I'm suggesting is a new purpose for penals, other than just upgraded infantry. Make them suicide units, y'know, for variety or whatever. |
What if penals are turned into suicide units, with reduced cost and pop cap but with significant damage reduction(basically a 6 man Major squad)? Would open up an option to soviets instead of going maxim spam, you spam penals with snipers killing stuff |
It should be a heavy tank, regardless of cost. Giving it's light armament and very slow speed it has to compensate with armour.
If it has to cost 250FU for 340+ armour then so be it, it will merely be a pale comparison to the Comet otherwise.
I like this idea too. 1600 hp, 360 armor, samed damage as Cromwell's gun. 600-700 manpower, 200-300 fuel (maybe limited call-in too?).
Churchill is gonna be the juggernaut that you spearhead into pak walls and Panther packs. It's not going to do much damage, but just enough that it can't be ignored completely. |
Yeah, nuke grenades was probly the only reason Churchills were worth it. Now they as scheibe as Comet grenades :'(
