Thread: Help vs Double Arnold Schwarzeneggers4 Feb 2016, 00:35 AM I am not an expert, but recently hit rank 650 USF. Keep in mind Sturms are expensive + take extremely long to build compared to volks. If you're in green cover and they charge in the open against your rifles, you'll win the fight most of the time, if 1v1. And if it doesn't, take a 2nd rifle squad to assist. But from what I've experienced, rifles win against charging sturms when in green cover. 2rifles -> 2 sturms imo aswell. Just play smart and focus 1 squad down first rather than both at the same time + use buildings. The moment he has his kubel out, you'll indeed have to wait for stuart/capt or m20. But if his kubel stays with his sturms, you can capp the other sides of the map, he'll have no map control whatsoever, abuse it. So in a nutshell, don't fight sturm+kubel combo in the early game, just avoid it. It won't take long till you have capt/m20 And I personally don't recommend fighting a kubel in a 1v1, as you'll bleed while he doesn't. In: US Forces Strategies

But the one issue I have with the above BO is the fact that one or two Snipers would push you off the map. If your going to use a infantry strategy you need to make sure you have the means to deal with possible Snipers fast, hence LT tech. Plus M20 and AA track have greater synergy with your tanks that come later because mines and keeping AT infantry at bay. If you rush Shermans against Ost but you feel as if you need the captain and his tech, feel free to back tech. Against okw feel free to go Captain though, Stuart is very effective against them. One trick I like to use is to activate Captains supervise production ability as soon as he comes out and get racks and ambulance very quickly. Thread: Any performance mods for CoH2?1 Feb 2016, 23:58 PM Make sure you are NOT running coh2 in window mode or have launch set options set so you can easily switch between the 2 monitor-setup (if you have it). I done this to easily tap in and out to browse the internet, but this impacted my fps & performance in-game by a large margin. My FPS boosted up to 150fps stable from a mere.. 60-70fps. Getting the MG is the best case scenario, but it can also just help to force it away. Or use smoke if you can spare the fuel/muni. Also, if you're rushing captain, dont forget about his "on me!" ability. it breaks suppression/pins. Tbh I always forget about this ability, i'll try use that aswell. What is in general better in USF vs Ost? Like you also mentioned, just rushing capt, but does this mean LT is never really used anymore in the current meta against both Ost and OKW? Thread: Help VS Ostheer28 Jan 2016, 17:24 PM Okay, i'm not a really bad USF player although not that experienced either (rank 700 USF). I can fight OKW fine, no problems at all, I just rush capt -> stuart/p.howie and i'm set. But Ostheer is a whole different story... when rushing captain I just lose control points to his MG/sniper control. And if I go LT -> m20 into capt & major, I delay my tech so bad, that he can have 2 panzers by the time I am still saving up for my first Sherman or jackson considering we're on near equal grounds regarding capture points / vps. I have the feeling I kind of tried everything. It's also not that I can't win vs Ostheer (otherwise I wouldn't be rank 700), but it's my most frustrating matchup while I think OKW is harder as people consider it... overpowered although that's argueable. Mirrored matches were not possible in CoH1 so it's a "new feature" that came with the second game. But outside of custom games (meaning neither in any multiplayer mode, nor in any official singleplayer mode or TOW) it is never possible to have a battle between two identical armies. Relic simply doesn't want to take care of a possibility that is played by less than 1% of the players (in my opinion, as this was the second thread I have ever seen about this topic at all). Oh haha, I see. Yeah I just want to play some 1v1's with a friend of mine, and we both main allied factions, so I was wondering if one has a huge advantage over the other or not. For example that the brit player has nearly no chance to win vs USF if both players are equally skilled, but I doubt this is the case, although I don't know for sure that's why i'm asking on the forum. Thread: Balance in custom games27 Jan 2016, 14:36 PM The ranked game mode (Allies vs Axis) is in general relatively balanced, but that's not where this topic is about, but how is the current balance state between Allies vs Allies or Wehr vs OKW? Maybe it's a weird question, but if you're doing for example a bo5 in a custom game with SU vs USF, is it just a matter of skill that decides who wins? or does one of the factions have a huge advantage over the other as relic only focusses on balancing Axis vs Allies. Just wondering if doing brit vs USF or USF vs SU is still fun and viable to play Ty In: COH2 Balance

I see way more of them than Panzers which is.. odd. By the time he has a panther, you should be able to have 1 or 2 tanks + AT aswell. I honestly don't see the problem. Also keep in mind that the panther is 200 fuel, where the sherman+sherman / sherman+jackson is ~240fuel which is stronger (USF perspective). I don't know what game mode you play, but I don't see panthers that often that they're a huge problem, but yeah I don't play 3v3 or 4v4s so In: Lobby
