I really hope that they haven't configured it properly yet. Because the current state of it is really bad. It let's you tech up real fast. But once you're in the mid game, it slows the game down completly. It just drops off at a certain amount of popcap, it goes from 300 to like 150ish. It doesn't matter how well you play in the early game. You are going to get slowed down so muc that your opponent can easily stay in the game. And catch up to you again.
And what's the deal with the '100 popcap' for everyone regardless of your mapcontrol? A cut-off is not a big deal right now. You can simply spam some T1 units and get it back. As T1 (or even T0 for Soviets) can keep you in the game easily for a long time.
Damm that franchise has gone to shite over the years haha. The problem here is obviously the parents of this little kid. What parent lets their 10yr old kid (can't be much older then that judging from the video) play a game like CoD in the first place. And secondly, what is up with the language of this kid. He said things like 'N*igger cheater' and 'fuck' atleast 127 times in this video.
Fyi, all 'strategic points' give ammo and fuel. I don't really mind that change. Already getting used to it. As long as they keep in the cut-off mechanic we'll be alright.
I say we have to at least give it a try in tournament conditions. Plus it will give developers precious feedback that they're not getting from automatch games.
Exactly. After all, it's a BETA tournament. This is the time where we can test this kind of stuff out. Give Relic valuable feedback on mirror matches, and for us to see if they can work in a competitive way for CoH2.
