Do you mean the SVT 40? the The SVD wasn't issued until the early 1960's. In any case as the current SVT stands its a close range weapon, Cons should have a long range option like a DP. Non doct PPSH on Shtrafbat fits their "Suicide squad" type design. I disagree that they should be long range infantry, That's what cons are supposed to be with their 91/30's. In: COH2 Balance

Arty cover has problems but it isn't the only offender when it comes to cheese. You cannot convert fuel to muni anymore. No Wehrmacht doctrine has that ability at the moment. If you are getting cas'd non stop control the munitions as he cannot drop muni without it. In: COH2 Balance

The main focus of the thread is rocket artillery with the second one beeing the other arty, so how does shell artillery beeing hardcountered by a offmap arty make the thread pointless? I said myself that they are countered by that. I then continued to say that I am fine with that as artillery should not take a defining role in this game due to its very nature and how it interacts with game mechanics and fun. If this were to be changed artillery would have to be less effective, maybe not in the case of 152 and lefh but definatly for the b4. I know its a long thread but maybe read it a little closer. Were did i say this thread is pointless, That's right i didn't so please don't put words in my mouth. Shell artillery has always been hard countered by Stuka, IL2, Time on target, Brit railway, Brit air supremacy. If this was to change then a total redesign of static artillery needs to happen. As it is shell based static artillery kinda suck. not enough damage front loaded to make it a competitive option to rocket artillery. Its very vulnerable as well due to it being static. I personally would be fine with Static artillery if it was all around just more accurate, B4, Lefh, ML20 all have crap accuracy and a high cost attached to that crap factor. So yeah more front loaded damage and more accurate. In: COH2 Balance

Or if they can't be bothered to sen a scouting unit, recon and stuka for 210 munitions. There is a reason it's a top teir wehr choice. It has answers to a lot of different things. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Ostheer5 Feb 2016, 09:34 AM The reason you don't see many people using it a lot is because its in bad doctrines overall. Jaeger armor is too good to not have equipped, You also should have a MHT doctrine like spearhead. This allows you to deal with stuff that you don't normally have good counters to. so that leaves one out. So stuff like german infantry is just bad, You pick it more to troll people with then to actually use. Its alot like royal engineers in that way. In: COH2 Balance

They're doctrinal call-in inf, so they hardly belong on that list. While you can use doctrines without gaurds/shocks you are doing yourself a great disservice by not having them. scripts are the only basic infantry that don't get a lmg, they get a doctrinal smg. Funny enough scripts are actually pretty deadly with Vicker's K. But my point still stands in regards to USF and Brit infantry in contrast to Wehrmacht infantry and the lack of a elite infantry option that can go toe to toe with the allied blobs that are so rampant this patch. This pushes's Wehr to abuse the hell out of Panzerwerfer as a result. In: COH2 Balance
