If anything they could potentially use target tables (assuming flames are grenade specific) to mitigate damage against buildings or something to that effect. In: COH2 Balance

I'm serious! At vet 3, British Infantry Sections get 2 scoped enfields. These enfields don't o anything but look cool, but they count as slotted weapons. What ends up happening, is that it causes IS to have guard syndrome. They start shedding weapons very quickly. It's pretty funny, but annoying nonetheless. That explains it. I kept wondering why my double Bren Tommies were dropping Brens left and right last night. Kind of nice when you can recycle them on squad wipes... until Grens start picking them up that is In: Lobby
Thread: okw vs brits 1v14 Sep 2015, 18:29 PM I played several games 1vs1. against Brits and didn't have too much trouble. (Though I'll admit the players weren't that great since their ELO wasn't established yet I assume). Few things I noticed 1. Buffed LeIG is going to be a major nuisance and source of MP bleed if they go heavy on Tommies. 2. Multiple Strumpioneers early on do wonders if you can flank and/or use Volks as meat shields to close in. 3. Breakthrough Strum officer is pretty awesome and lets you use superior numbers of cheap volks to pick off Tommy models easier. Plus you can use his ability to force retreat Vickers/ Supporting Tommy Squads to better even the odds. 4. JLI also are pretty great due to their sniping. 5. Kubel is pretty much a lost cause due to Bren Carrier :/ In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Ostheer Sniper overperforming4 Sep 2015, 18:20 PM I'm holding out hope that target tables will result in Sniper ROF or Accuracy nerf (something) vs. Tommies will balance it out somewhere which I think is the ideal situation. Its kind of nice to keep him in Tier 1 just for opening build variety as Ostheer. I think more opening builds options = better game over all. That being said I don't think moving him to Tier 2 would be the end of the world... Ostheer can tech pretty fast to Tier 2 when it wants to if they really want a Sniper fast. I don't think that the Veterancy nerf will make all that much difference for the Brits... it just means that he's slightly less ridiculous as the game goes on (after the damage has already been done). Thread: Patch Preview: Normal Volks Grenade gone4 Sep 2015, 16:08 PM Being a munitions based squad upgrade might not be a bad idea (OKW is already fuel starved so I doubt going the Soviet route is a good idea). Otherwise they are rather potent and an upgrade aside from the longer throw time. In: COH2 Gameplay

I had a test where it hit 20/20 on target Kappa. I like that it's accurate, but it could be a bit less. So its not just me then? Game last night on Faymonville I swear this LeIG had a sniper manning it with the way that my Tommy Squads were spontaneously exploding left and right. Rather amusing that the LeIG went from a complete joke to "buy every game". Probably only a matter of time before Relic complete the circle of life of Useless Unit -> Overbuff -> Overnerf on it In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Mortar HT4 Sep 2015, 14:42 PM My God the saltiness over Brace. Thread starts off about Mortar HT and instantly takes a left turn to "You know what? F*ck Brace" Back on topic, flame damage this patch is very potent (in the current preview mod molotovs and incendiary grenades one shot fuel caches and bunkers) so I don't doubt that the Incendiary barrage would either kill or severely damage emplacements w/o Brace though I haven't had a chance to test it out myself. Heavy mortars are nerfed (range! and price) SU85 using the Focus Sight (or w/e its called) actually works very well for sniping from long distance. Though you'll obviously want to screen it from Screk Volks. I'm pretty sure the HM range hasn't been nerfed... the price change was a bug and they are reverting it back to 330 via the changelog. Try using Mortar/Sniper Flares to spot for AT Guns as well (the ZIS Barrage is rather effective). Generally speaking its best to strike hard and fast to not give the OKW player time to react: IE have AT Guns/ SU85 in position before popping flares - many players don't proper screen the T4 truck and are susceptible to burst damage. Finally, keep in mind that its fairly predictable where players will set up their T4 truck in the field on certain maps with VP points/cut-off points/fuel points likely candidates. Constantly recon these points around that Mid-gameish point when T4 goes up and you'll greatly increase your chances of catching the Truck mid-setup and can nip it in the bud before it sets up or at the very least damage it enough with small arms fire to make finishing it off before it can be repaired that much easier.
