People have already pointed out a combined German/Italian North Africa faction would work fine, especially considering even in 43 the Germans had more than enough power AT weapons to deal with things like the IS2. You can't forget as well that volks get 2x 30% accuracy vet. Vet0 volks are indeed prety underwhelming, but vet4 ones are monsters. The issue lay in the fact that it's dumb how you have Allies which excel in the early game and the Axis who excel in the late game, resulting in an insanely dumb way of balancing were if the game lasts a certain amount of time Axis auto win (Unless you go all in with all IS2's) but it remains extremely easy for allies to win the game in the first 5-9 minutes. The factions should honestly be more based around counters rather than a ever escalating 1 up contest in the way current tech structures work. Since in a game of "Who has the biggest dick" Axis will normally win (with the exception of the IS2 which is the second best Heavy in the game). I think the ONLY solution Relic can come up with is nerfing the shreks to be in line with zooks. Unless, Relic decides to completely do away with Vet 5 system, just don't see any other option. You know that Riflemen vet up quite fast when using Zooks to right? They just only have 3 levels instead of 5. In: COH2 Balance

It's not an uncommon occurrence to get a very high kill but low vet Stuka, most the time it get it's vet from blowing up the crew weapons it's targeting due to the large amount of damage the bombs do to vehicles. Iv jumped one from vet 2 to 4 after killing 2 Katyushas with it. Potential solution to Obers: - 340mp for squad, 90 munitions for LMG upgrade. - Reduce DPS of LMG34; increase DPS of K98s further (they already did this once before IIRC?) Alternatively: - Obers cannot get XP. They are already super experienced veterans, and have nothing further to learn. This is fine, but removing their ability to get vet is pretty silly. I personally wouldn't care what faction they introduced, just so long as it was slightly competitive and allowed so sort of shake up of the meta... It makes reading the thread extremely difficult. Do this german fan boy title come with a cool badge? Or maybe it's just adding the Japanese wouldn't work the way COH2 is designed. Thread: New faction British??11 Feb 2015, 01:21 AM Not really, if were talking 44' era Japs they lose out in pretty much every dept be it land, sea, or air. If they weren't an Island nation they would have lost the war long before 45. If this was a game based around Land, Sea, and Air (while also being based in 42-43 instead of 44-45) yeah I could see a Japanese faction working, but it's a pretty well known fact Japan didn't have anything resembling a modern army.
