The "Just park a JPIV next to it" suggestion is pretty lol considering a JPIV + KT with the fuel penalty (not counting teching) is 464 fuel. That's 2 IS2's or 6 SU-76's, or 3 Jacksons, or 3 T34/85's, ect. So... Should not IS2 also get range buff? You answered your own question. In: Lobby |

Okay why is the King Tiger, Tiger, and Jagdtiger being buffed. These are the changes I am strongly against. Brits and flame definitely needed to be nerfed, but there is absolutely no reason why these heavy tanks need a buff. To start: the KT and JT haven't been all that viable in the current climate due to the former being to easy to kill relative to it's speed (IS2 armor with half the IS2's speed but several times the cost) and the JT came so late and at such a cost that an Elefant was a much better option. The cost decrease for the JT just brings it to the Elefants cost, although that's not counting for the fuel penalty. The reason why the Elefant was more attractive is A. Spotting scopes, B. Far, Far more mobility, C. No stunlock gimmick, and D. traversal gun. The Tiger +5 range buff is semi-problematic because it gets 10 more range at vet 2, but the KT's vet is kind of a joke for such an expensive late game unit that has a hard time getting veterancy. The Tiger II will still be easy to kite thanks to it being very, very slow. It just won't be as easy as before. In: Lobby |

Retreat is all about unit preservation. It's all about knowing when to retreat, currently that trade off is not afforded to Brace. The downside is not great enough to justify the upside. The longer cooldown will fix this dynamic. Therefore they are similar, cause they are made for the same purpose. Two things can be made for the same purpose but still be different. Im still amazed how anyone can compare buildings (trucks) to units which brits emplacements are. Emplacements are buildings. The OKW trucks are comparable to emplacements. In: COH2 Balance |

Hey guys! Yes. Is it worth using Valiant Assault often? Couldn't find the accurate stat buffs it gives. It only makes your troops move slightly faster and gives 25% more accuracy, which isn't very much considering most OKW units have high accuracy to begin with. It's not worth the munitions. Also how do you guys decide between them and Breakthrough with the awesome Panzerfusiliers? Is the higher dps of falls worth their higher price and being only 4 men? Pfuss are much more efficient and have a lot better scaling. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Very rarely. Multiple streamers prove you wrong on this every day in multiple games, its not even worth arguing. Multiple streamers aren't very good. Just because someone can entertain a bunch of twitcher memespouters doesn't mean they are an authority on how to play Oberkommando West. But to humor you people like Hans and whatnot tend to place their trucks outside of their base, with the only exception being repair trucks. Also, focus on emplacements being rather important part of progression and an option that should be valid is quite faction specific as well. OKW tier trucks are a lot more important I would say, you don't need Bofors to construct your units. The new cooldown and current modifiers from explosives and flames means emplacement will be hardcountered and destroyed 60 seconds after they have been spotted(force brace, kill it 30 sec later with barrage weapon of your choice). They are changing flames next patch for a reason ![]() In: COH2 Balance |

My point was that OKW structures (which you can't afford to place in base sectors 90% of the time) get along fine without brace. Brace isn't on the same level as retreat because Brace is faction specific. The new cool down for brace is fine In: COH2 Balance |

My statement that the LefH isn't very good is consistent with the fact the base howitzer is worse. But atleast the base howitzer isn't as big of an investment. To elaborate the Lefh doesn't really have a point versus USF or Sov and versus Brits the mortar is much better at killing emplacements In: COH2 Balance |

Think of brace as a standard retreat. Brace =/= retreat. If you hit retreat before its too late, your squad will survive. Brace =/= retreat. Emplacements cannot move so its obvious they should have something to protect them. So can we give Brace to all static structures then? If you blob as OKW or usf, got into heavy fire and retreat to FRP, and then 30sec later blob again into heavy fire, do you have cooldown on retreat? No, you dont. You can save your troops how many times you want. Except FRP's aren't hard to punish at all. As for brace. Giving it cooldown like this, means insta death. No it means you need to consider your investment. 60 seconds is still shorter than the recharge on most artillery pieces. Attack with mortar - force to brace - wait - attack with off map, Stuka, sturmtiger, mortars, leig, anything to kill it. It's almost like that's how it should work!? Now imagine that your blob cannot retreat from OKW Schwerer and you can just watch how models are dying. But the Schwer doesn't have the durability of emplacements though? It cannot move, but it cannot brace. Make brace without cooldown, so you can use it constantly, but received damage would be around 20-30% instead of almost unkillable. This would make mortars and support guns to good against them, decent cooldown + high reduction (which is how it will be in the upcomming patch) works well enough. In: COH2 Balance |
