Also if you divide OKW tier costs by the fuel income (.66) then OKW teching costs look like this: T1:60 (free) T2:60 T3:120 The cost of a PIV for Ostheer will be (assuming you rush and skip the T2 buildings) 40 + 45 + 75 + 125 = 285 fuel The cost of a PIV for OKW will be (knowing the first tech is free) (80 + 135)/.66 = 325 fuel So timing wise they should come out close to each other if rushed. It'll cost 145 fuel. That 230 armor doesn't come for free. Also for OKW P4 skirts were never part of vet, it was always upgrade. It's going to be 135 fuel. So essentially 10 extra fuel for the skirt upgrades. Oh and the veterancy for the Ausf J is still the same so it get's really powerful really fast as it's vet reduces the scatter by a lot. Unlocks the 'Combat Blitz' ability +60% turret rotation speed, -25% scatter -30% reload, +20% rotation speed, +10% ac/de-celeration +12.5% range, -25% scatter +53.85% accuracy when moving, +45.8% sight range In: Lobby

Me and Lemon tried literally EVERY OKW off-map in game against howis via cheat mod. Even with 9999 muni you're not guaranteed a kill. (I believe there's actually a cap on how many extra shells it shoots anyways) Shit really? Man can't catch a break no matter what doctrine you chose. Did the chance of the howitzer dying at least go up when you called in the ability with more munitions? More even matchups at smaller games (where Allies can win) and lopsided searchers at higher levels. It is also why in COH1 lots more people played Brit 2v2 than 1v1. And that is on top of the unending uncoolness of Brit kit. There is no lesser cool vehicle to look at or use than the Bren Carrier. kangaroos are uncool. Emplacements aren't cool. Infantry sections moving in slowmow aren't cool. Cromwells - uncool. Churchills - seriously uncool (except the AVRE). Commandos are cool. And 25's do make a cool noise. Not cool. Not cool voices. Yet people play them alot in 2v2. Why? Because people like to win. You know people find different things cool right? I mean shit the Churchill is like a bloody Leman Russ; it's awesome! Making it a soft counter to just about anything, including flanked mediums. Probably would be too powerful at 15fu, but would be an interesting change. The pen isn't the problem, the problem is that it can't reliably do anything to enemy infantry or vehicles. Do this instead: 222 wet tissue paper armor motorized 2cm staple gun car. Increase armor to 12, 2cm comes standard does 25 damage instead of 20. Raise cost to 250 mp 30-35 fuel. Remove flametracks asinine t3 requirement. In: COH2 Balance

That's not exactly a pro tip seeing as scavenge arty doesn't always kill the howi. All the "extra" shells you get from munitions for the Scavenge artillery barrage always hit the center of the barrage so if you save up enough munitions you can actually reliably kill a Howitzer, of course it sucks you need up save up 400-500 munitions to reliable kill a 600 MP howitzer but well....better than losing the game I guess In: Lobby

The reason why I like this idea is because it makes OKW less about rushing (since you could only convert once you hit T2) and more about a slow escalation to extremely powerful late game units.
