yeah, i've gotten commanders from different factions on the same side plenty of times but only had the abilities actually be usable once. |
the churchill is fine right now. it's a pretty shitty tank but it's viable right now because it has so much health. the only thing i don't like about the various british tanks is that they take so fucking long to repair because so many have more than 640 hp. |
all the globals from the original factions (except sector artillery for obvious reasons) can be used in all sectors. WFA added some limits on especially powerful globals such as 240mm and assault artillery as well as scavenge artillery later on. |
It's ambush mode, not fucking peekaboo
And Jagdtiger camouflage is a bit too much. Conceal a squad? Sure. A small tank? Alright. A massive hunk of noisey metal the size of a small building? Nooo.
eh, you can hide buildings. |
Created an account just to say that from what I've read on the steam forums, you can't watch replays of maps that are contained in an expansion you don't own. For instance Essen Steelworks is a British Forces map, so you can't watch replays of this map unless you own the British Forces pack (even though you got to play on it because another player in the game owns British Forces).
It's a really silly policy and I wish relic would change it. Maps should be available to everyone in the first place, but replays absolutely should be.
i don't think it's a policy so much as an unintended consequence of the way the game/steam dlc works. there's a lot of things in this game that are really odd and are a result of the super compressed timeline this game was on, first with THQ and then with sega |
lol, all the :)
got parsed as similes. |
eh, idk. 5mp is a token difference between volks and grens/cons. model count doesn't have any business in there as cons are 6, grens and IS are 4, and rifles are also 5. their ability to buy a schreck also doesn't mean that they should be shit.
with that said, i'm not sure how one could buff volks without making them OP because they DO have that schreck upgrade and if they have it they must be vulnerable to some form of infantry to insure they are counterable. they also have the grenade which gives them a lot more utility against setup teams in particular but also against regular infantry if you get a nade off.
giving volks an AI upgrade exclusive to the schreck is the only option i can see to make them truly viable against infantry late game but i'm not sure what to give them. SMG/ARs are already covered by spios and lmgs tend to be detrimental to good play, especially you can buy 6 of a squad and have 3 lmg/3 schrecks.
in general i really dislike OKW's design (structurally it's more solid than USF but also more boring) but i find volks to be an especially boring unit as they have only one active ability and one upgrade. |
what? i admit i haven't seen the ISU in a while but that's because there are easier options and guards have fallen somewhat out of meta, at least in the game modes i play. the ISU is still a very strong vehicle.
the jagd i see every now and then and it is incredibly strong on any open map.
if either vehicle is properly supported (more so the JT because the higher armour necessitates vehicle counters which the JT itself counters) they won't ever die and will inflict a hell of a lot of damage. |
i didn't realize until a recent game that you can't retreat out of them. i really think that relic should follow the precedent set in dow2 and let squads retreat out of stun. |
You're not understanding. I can download the featured replay right now- Aimstrong v KA- from the current patch, move it into the proper file, and it still will not show. It deletes replays from previous patches, but it won't let me watch ones from this patch either.
ok, that does sound like an issue. you confused me with that last sentence which is expected behavior. |
