Cruzz knows Relic's own code better than Relic knows their own code. That should be enough to show you how right Cruzz is all the time.
i'm not sure relic ever really understood their games; they sure didn't do very well with DoW2 |
the problem with the MG42 is that it has to be very effective at suppressing since it's used to deal with cons (who have oorah) and riflemen (who are very powerful). it needs to have effective counters though which it doesn't right now. mortars are shit and USF doesn't even have mortars nor any indirect fire for the first 5 minutes of the game...
shit design relic. |
Why are you guys acting like the Pershing will be an American KT?
They will also likely have a "heavy tank crew" similar to M20 crew, and will simply prevent you from building another until that crew is dead so no popcap abuse.
And assuming you'll have to tech for callins by the time Pershing is released, I doubt you'll be seeing giant fleets of jacksons and Pershing rectifying everything, because tech costs are OP. You'll likely need all 3 officers for it.
It also will still lose to JTKT+ JP4,or elefant + anything with a 75mm gun, no matter HOW op it manages to be.
as people have already said it's easy to get around this
since when do callins require you to build anything? additionally, even if they do require something, it's only a single other building, not all of them. |
you often can have the best of both worlds though, you just need enough money |
given all the repair that OKW has i don't see any issue with USF having vehicles crews with the pershing. the only people shafted here are OKH/USSR which isn't news to anyone. the pershing itself shouldn't have a crew because otherwise it makes it too easy to stack pershings (even if you can't while the crew is alive) but other than that i don't see any issue with USF having crews at the same time.
Because they were designed without that doctrine in mind, and designed with elements to compensate. Adding that doctrine and keeping the compensation would mean they get to have their cake and eat it too.
there is no point in having cake if you can't eat it too. also, precedent says that doctrines never subtract from a faction, only add things. sometimes those things are OP, sometimes they're UP. |
It's been a while since I've used it so correct me if Im wrong, but his dps should be the same as a gren sqaud right? So that's pretty decent, while vet unlocks his abilities, except smoke which is baseline.
I think that since vet unlocks the rest of his abilities it would be great if they were muni-free, without touching anything else, making it desiderable to keep alive while doing proper support without impairing ost's ammo economy.
Edit: ofc some tweaking to the cooldowns would be needed.
the abilities are baseline and all cost munitions. victor target is the only one that's expensive and how expensive it is depends on whether you're using it with mortars or pwerfers/lefhs; with the latter two it can be a deal if you use it right. |
people not being to deal with maxim blobs is honestly just a player issue, and not a balance one.
i'm not saying that it's a balance issue, i'm just saying that they still work well against MG42s. grens with RGs are what maxims have issues with but you can still mitigate that by paying attention and moving the maxims. |
yes its fine. why? because there is a window of opportunity for you to exploit the lack of enemies armor with your own armor. you have plenty of time to prepare by laying mines, purchasing at guns, etc. its actually super hard for soviets to play on just t1 t2 with no fuel purchases because mg42s are ownage right now. they need some sort of fuel purchase to help break through the lines. the benefit of waiting for call ins is that individually the call in tanks are stronger than their counterparts, because guess what, they cost more. but at the same time, it doesnt make mediums invincible. also holding 2/3 of the map really doesnt fucking matter unless youre holding both fuels.
idk how well it works in 1v1s with RGs but maxims still hardcounter MG42s. in team games i'll just build 4-5 of them are move them around as a loose blob supporting each other. |
relic doesn't seem to have a solid design direction so i'm not going to bother making a wishlist. |
The only bullets that actually collide in that way are the API rounds, which can actually do friendly fire damage if you have one of your own vehicles in between your mg42 and your target.
that was a problem in dow2 as well |
