Blizzards are a bad option.
Coh2 is about fast movement and flanking. Getting rid of that feature - even if it is just for some minutes - destroys the flow of the game. You are a sitting duck and can barely capitalize on your previous right decisions, because both players are stuck and essentially doing nothing at all.
Usually the players wait until the blizzard has gone, to do something again. Just send
your infantry to fireplaces and hope they don´t die. What does that have to do with a fast paced game?
There´s a reason lot of players have vetoed blizzard maps. Take away the option to veto all of them (because of an increased number of blizzard maps) and thus force players to play blizzard maps, will probably result in some not playing the game. Blizzards destroy everything that made Coh a great series.
I´m pretty disappointed that it´s not clear to all that:
Movement, flanking, constant attacks, infantry and vehicles working together
is better than
sitting around a campfire, not moving your vehicles because they can see 5m far. |
If you look at the move orders for the mgs that don't set up you are double clicking giving move orders after the arc is set. You can see the green splash after the arc was set and they walk to that instead.
- Your mouse may be dying, try with a different one.
- My mouse is relatively new, about a year.
- I have no problem with my mouse whatsoever.
- Others have the same problem.
- It suddenly occurred after the patch.
- I always dragged the mouse around like this and always in the same way. Now it´s totally random whether it registers an additional movement order or not. |

Hey, I´m going to buff this thread. I have the very same problem described here. I made a video to show it. This makes MG play currently impossible and ruins Ostheer for me. It´s a real gamble and happens - as described by Cardboard - often.

One T-34/85 or Jackson counters it. At that price with the fuel penalty don´t expect superior anti tank support for it. Just short range Pisswerfer and Panzerschreck.
Catch it with its pants down while reloading. It´s not as hard as some people here make it sound like. |
Just boomrush his ML20 with Luchs, remember to sweep.. L2p Totally useless. Countered by a 30 mun mine on a faction that floats ammo. And you loose a Luchs. Good luck defusing mines in the entrance of the enemies base or even getting the sturmpio squad there. |
Did they add any Rhineland, Scheldt, Italy, Netherlands esque maps?
The scheldt estuary and the rhineland were muddy as hell fyi. Hey, we have quite a good infrastructure in the Rhineland. If the Dutch aren´t blocking everything with their caravans. Though those camping-trailers could create a lot of green cover. |
Kt have insane accuracy and AoE against infantry, it kills squads and at guns in 2 shots. Whats else do you need? Survivability, because the mobility is lacking. I wouldn´t mind if the anti infantry capabilities went down a bit.
Just support kt properly and play DEFENSIVELY with minesweepers, shrecks, rakketens and jagdpzners/command panthers around and it is unbeatable. 460 fuel for a KT + Command Panther and that at 2/3rd income, so effectively 690 Fuel? The KT is going to be your only vehicle most of the time. The problem is that all the non fuel AT options for OKW are short range and not even close to real AT guns. |

Only the mentioned 10% Vet up bulletin. That's why as a sign of protest I troll around with 3 of them stacked.
It's a damn shame how KT is being treated, bulletinwise and regarding the recent armor and blitz nerf.
Presently and effectively since IS2 has an armor bulletin and KT doesnt, it's armor value can be greater than that of the KT, which is imho, plain silly.
On the other hand with blitz bein' marginally useless on the KT, the unit really lacks any kind of countermeasure except it's potent frontal armor, which is also debatable after the nerf..
I see fewer and fewer Tiger II's in even large team games, and there's a an obvious reason behind it.
all trucks converted, too expensive, too late, and too vulnerable to practically anything except infantry.
"swarm" of (two) mediums own it, ranged tank hunters own it, airstrikes own it, even smart arty play owns it.

I completely agree. The best solution would be to give the KT actually decent veterancy bonuses. Right now the vet is one of the worst ingame - even with 5 stars. |
