Thread: only assholes in the coh2 community ?4 Jul 2013, 10:23 AM I am have a similar mindset as the OP, however I never get angry at my opponent if they utilize a specific strat in order to win. It simply is not their fault, it is the game. Out of respect for my opponent though on maps such as Moscow Outskirts I will not actually use M3 Scout Cars. It is easy to constantly get squad kills with low risk. However not utilizing it can sometimes get you in an awkward position as Russia, depending on the Ostheer unit composition and your own. Thread: How to use Su-853 Jul 2013, 18:34 PM I really don't have an issues with SU-85. They do not deserve a nerf in any shape of form. Rid them of guard/conscript infantry support and they are so easy to circle. Not to mention clever use of smoke can absolutely cause havoc on SU85's. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: German Sniper Health1 Jul 2013, 06:32 AM Personally I feel the health is quite ok. Just keep it away from likely places of arty/mortar fire is the best way to start. My biggest issue with the sniper personally is the accuracy of the Ostheer sniper should really be increased, especially against units within buildings. It will provide at least another option, out of the very few viable options for Ostheer to deal with buildings in th early game. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Soviet AT and circle strafing30 Jun 2013, 09:30 AM You have to use combined arms to tackle mobile turret rotating German armour when it comes head on. You have a number of options which include: Conscript AT nades. Guards button ability. Anticipate the Panther movement and push your su85 (or other vehicle) straight into its path, your su85 and ATG will then tear the Panther apart. Reverse your su85 into a wall/cliff, something that will prevent a Panther from constantly moving in circles around you. Mines Well microed AT guns are no where near as effective in COH2 as they are in CoH1. You must support them much more and keep them more back. No hold fire on ATG's however is part of the issue. Thread: Red Army Artillery build30 Jun 2013, 05:32 AM Tycho get off his back his dude. I think when we are new a lot of us played like this. I know I most definitely did when I started CoH1 o.O I've actually executed this style of play a few times in 1v1 myself. Got out a couple of engineers, 2 Maxim machine guns and that really allows you to push around an opponent once they are on the field. I then tend to pop out 1-2 Guard squads and continue on to t4 where I'll utilize katuysha, su80 and 120mm mortars where appropriate. It isn't to bad on maps where there are decent amounts of buildings that you can leap frog around and use to have good vision of the map. Generally though these strats are better used for 2v2 sicne there are holes that are more easy for the Ostheer player to open up in a 1v1 game. Keep working at it though dude! In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: Fragmentation Bombs29 Jun 2013, 03:50 AM I thinkt the major problem with this ability is the fact I actually can not aim it effectively. The bombs drop in a rectangular formation (like a CoH1 bombing run), however you get given a circle off-map target strike. This is wrong and should be changed in my opinion. Secondly, you can not influence the direction of the plane, but it will always come from your base. This means bombs will only ever drop up-down the field with reference to your base and never across the field. Both these factors contribute together to really make it harder for you to hit that sweet spot when dropping the fragmentation bombs. In: COH2 Balance
