(I.e with TACommander) as far as i know the search light turns into a laser on vet 5 but apart from that i see no problem with this unit.... mainly because hardly anyone is using it In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Have Guard Rifles aged well?3 Nov 2014, 15:45 PM as an axies player im always glad to see guards because it means i dont have to deal with shocks. as a soviet player i hardly ever use them. they do okish vs standard units but unless you can land one of their pretty good grenades they will bleed you for a lot of manpower vs good infantery. they have their use vs light vehicles if you spend the extra mun and button is still nice to have but to me its not worth it. light vehicles can also be fought with anit tank nades and mines if you dont have a zis available. Thread: Change KT with Panzer 4 battle group26 Oct 2014, 14:59 PM i dont mind thinking about moving the kt into a doctrine. but i also think the double p4 would be as unused as ever (even if its gets buffed)if its trades places with the kt. i mean why would one invest all those resources to get some p4s during late game when i have panthers available by that time? what function would they serve? Mostly I mess around in 3vs3 and 4vs4 and have only little experience in 1vs1. but having someone to test some tactics and analyse the match afterwards sounds good to me. the time suits me and I wouldnt mind getting a bit better at this game. but as i said I cant provide you with the insight of a top ladder player. Thread: Mines13 Oct 2014, 16:19 PM Hello there, I just wanted to get a few pointers regarding the use of mines. if there should be threads that fill the same purpose please link me to them and free to close this one. the only threads i found were about specific mines. what i wanted to know, how the different factions should use their mines. which ones seem to be (cost-) effective, which arent. the way i understand it soviets should spam them whenever they can. but what about the rest? should i bother with them? or rather save the mun for nades, weapons and offmap artillery? when i played coh1 mines were very important (in my opinion at least) but whenever i play coh2 or watch a replay i hardly ever see somebody use them. Thread: Commander Choice19 Jul 2014, 10:20 AM Jump back to quoted post19 Jul 2014, 08:09 AMLemonJuice I actually go special operations doc almost all the time. this is mostly for the infiltration tactics grenade assault you can use. very underrated imo. you can throw up to 5 grenades for just 10 munitions. its very capable of squad wiping and forcing retreats if you land it properly. . i also use special most of the time. those cheap grenades unlock early and are fantastic. especially against those large russian weapon crews. i equip my obers with stg44 whenever i can. it allows your obers to fire without having to set up and it shreds any form infantery with a good range. the flares can be usefull but it costs 60 mun. and i usually need my mun for nades, schrecks, stg44 and mines. so i rather get a infra red truck. i agree on the panther command. very usefull especially in team games. yesterday i got lucky and got the elite armored commander. so im trying to play with him atm. though i gotta say im not that much of a fan. the abilites give you hardly any advantage in early game and they cost loads and loads of munition. the vet p4s are very nice though. with thse there is usually no need to build p4. they work excellent against infantery and those heat shells allow them to crack even heavy armor. Thread: id like a mentor as well or some good advice18 Jul 2014, 20:12 PM hey there, im an european player. ive been playin coh and coh2 for a while now. mostly 3vs3 or 4vs4 on public servers because it feels a bit more warish (yes thats a word). i do have fun and i like to think i know a couple of things. but im also very certain that there is lots of room for improvement and i dont think ill get better by doing what im doing now. what would be a good way to improve my game? im also watching generalsgentleman on youtube whenever they moderate a coh2 replay. are there any other good channels who actually throw some usefull comments in their moderation? any pointers or actually mentoring would be appreciated.
