Thread: Early Game Harassment Theory Crafting7 Jun 2016, 15:33 PM I've been trying to make this strategy in my head work as Sov/USF but I can't. Generally I've been trying to avoid conflict in the first 3-4 minutes, and always be capping territory around the map annoying the enemy, until I tech up. I've been going early nades for smoke to harass without being damaged to preserve MP, popping out, killing a model, and going away until I have a good army. What actually happens is I get forced into bad engagements, don't cap efficiently, and get wrekt. So: as Sov/USF is this kind of passive harassment a viable strategy, or have I been wasting my time (and rank which has plummeted in the name of science ) In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Conscripts - when being a looser is your fate7 Jun 2016, 11:34 AM Imo the skill disparity between the different core infantry is what gives the illusion that Cons are bad. Like, I'd say that Rifles and Cons have the highest skill ceiling of mainline infantry allowing them to dominate the map and provide cheap utility to any army composition. (or expensive utility with Rifles) Compare this to Grens, where they are designed to be grouped up and A-moved, or Volks, which are also designed to be grouped up and a-moved. Worse yet is the fact that Axis core infantry generally trades positively when A-moved at max range, which doesn't promote the infantry tactics CoH is known for. Are Axis core troops OP? Sans Shreks, not really at all, everything has a counter, but the fact that they are so easy to use at most skill levels makes other core troops seem weak by comparison. In: COH2 Balance

It´s just an accumulation of abusive non fun features (emplacements, tulips, a sniper that counters light vehicles) the best tanks in the game hands down (Croc + Comet) and strong infantry (Bren or Piat blob + 5 man upgrade). It is Ostheer on steroids. Thus Ostheer can´t participate in the game effectively. This can´t be balanced in any possible scenario. The really retarded point is that Coh2 was about mobility. Now there is a faction that can sit around and break the concept of Coh2 with superior defensive tools. It would be fine if the Brit player was punished for sitting around. But he gets rewarded with superior lategame. Thus being a dick and sitting around on your lazy ass is rewarded with a likely win. The British faction encourages bad gameplay. But Ostheer is the best designed faction! In: COH2 Balance
Thread: OKW (balance preview mode) - concerns and solutions5 Jun 2016, 17:51 PM Also fausts, Shreks, and raks individually aren't good but the widespread proliferation of them in the okw means that AT is ubiquitous-once vehicles hit the field you can still harass the flanks and not have to worry about allied lights ruining your day. I think the OKW playstyle is changing, concentrate forces early game, spread out and play like an allied faction mid, and once you form a solid vetted army with super vehicles you focus your forces again. Thread: Ostheer repair bunker upgrade27 May 2016, 20:41 PM I think other than ukf and okw repairing being too fast/economical as of right now repairing across factions is fine. USF was logistics master of war, relies on paper vehicles to support infantry so they deserve ubiquitous fast repairing UKF sappers upgraded are a tad too much, especially one you amass cromwells OKW repair station shouldn't be free, sweepers shouldn't increase repair-there should be oppurtunity cost Pios and Engies are fine, maybe increase per model repair rate and make them 3 man squads so they are more economic In: COH2 Balance
