So when the timer resets, that essentially means you have to grind, er ahem, I mean play happily, for around 3+ hours to then get a chance to be rewarded with a totally random item?
At the very least they should have kept the 'commander unlocks at certain ranks' system from the old game.
If commander unlocks are based on time played then it still fits in with that logic - play for x amount of time or rack up x amount of XP, either way everyone ends up with the same handful of commanders to enjoy.
Does anyone know exactly how the time reset system works for the spoils? Thanks.
If they're worried about the finances of young gamers, then why not give out all additional content for free? Or lower the prices to half price or less.
Either you want everyone to have the same fun experience, and access to the same content, or you don't.
At the moment people with a lot of free time have the advantage over those who live busy lives.
Relic: is there any chance of having an official statement on the policy for duplications? That's a huge part of the problem.
At least if duplications were removed (not likely, given that they included a delete function!) people would receive NEW stuff, even if it's stuff they don't want or need.
...at this point ANY comments or information would be very welcome.
I bet you're so glad Relic added the delete function, so that you can happily delete the redundant reward you got for all your hard work.
My latest spoils were 3 in one game, two duplicate bulletins (that I didn't want and won't have any use for) and another that is slightly useful but that I doubt I'll ever use.
I couldn't agree more. If getting free stuff is a reward for playing, then getting duplicate items - especially ones you have paid money for, is giving you the finger as a reward for playing.
Removing duplications would be an instant huge improvement.
One issue I've had for quite a long time now is that one camera move direction 'locks'. So the camera view speeds to one side and won't allow me to go in any other direction, without it forcing it back to the direction it's locked in.
The only fix is to restart the script. It's very rare, and oddly seems to happen much more frequently in certain games.
I have no idea what the cause is. I'm still amazed modern RTS games don't have customisable keys (HINT).
Have Relic explained why they allow duplications yet? That is such an idiotic and backwards thing to allow.
Even if they have trading in mind it means you have to harass or beg people to do a swap they agree with (because trading unwanted things is the main reason I play COH2...).
I have no idea why they are so lacking in communication (and marketing) skills.
It's great that they have posted several responses in this thread, but there are still so many unanswered questions.
