Just concentrate on not losing units and more importantly not having retreat paths cut-off and losing units that way.
There's not much strategy in this "strategy" game anymore, it's an arcade rts mostly about reaction times. |
Total noobs don't bother me, if he's so new he just sits on one point I just quit.
What's really frustrating is when the noob is getting owned by the good player on the other team, and refuses to just "go middle" so I can support him and we have a chance of winning. Instead they just keep running at the fuel point they have no hope of taking, losing all their crap and clearly playing out of frustration instead of thinking. That's so infuriating, when you could easily win the game if THEY'D JUST LISTEN.

I voted yes because I thought that was a real word and sounded like something Brits would say.
You know, like, the Lord Mayor of London has invoked cloture, in unperpower, as is his right by blood and land.

I think we need a temporary patch where you can only produce assault engineers or JLI to fully assess balance. #trollface

Sniper shots costing muni is a terrific idea...Generally in COH2 muni abilities are really too spammable, there aren't enough tough choices in COH2, making every game very linear. Sure, if you overspam mines you may not have your late-game offmap but no one keeps spamming mines once the mine detector arrives. There just aren't enough hard trade-offs, ie., when have you ever really not been able to get an LMG and faust the M3 as Ostheer unless you were losing completely....

I figured it was just a way for Relic to mock me for low CPM, i.e. "you'll never get it back in time!"
|
Perhaps. But I have limited time to play and enjoy a chance at winning more than heroic, hopeless fights. I get one a session who drops on me anyway, it's all good.

l2p issue (and this time I mean it)
Then please teach me master. Explain the proper micro in detail, I dare you. Show how smart you are by teaching someone else instead of being a royal asshole.

Please explain to me how volks can win any engagements against penals/guards.
Note how at 4:40 volks plus pios at long range can't drop a single model vs penals in green cover.
Again at 5:40 volks plus unupgraded jaeger's can't drop a single penal model, volks get wrecked at long range. Is this just bad rolls? Eventually they started doing some damage but at this range I did not expect this outcome.
Luchs cannot do any damage before it needs to retreat.
Not possible to recapture territory because units damaged from pushing off penals get wrecked by penals when they march back out of base. Ie., no way to push temporary advantage, leading me to recall my first rule of COH2, NEVER ATTACK unless you have to or you have complete superiority. So since I could not recapture territory I just should have fought attrition war and not tried to recapture?
Please explain what I'm doing wrong/why this is considered a balanced game.

It truly is the maps, The game is balanced at smaller map modes by virtue of there being just as many resource points for players to fight over as in 4v4. Ideally points in large game modes would produce less income but there would be more of them and just as importantly, the maps should be a lot bigger. |
