Thread: Why is there no hold ground button in this game?12 Nov 2014, 04:36 AM If you order them to attack then they just obey your order, which is to eliminate the target and they will do anything to complete that order. Next time, if someone attacks you, you either: 1. Let your troops automatically attack the enemy. Where it's pretty much hold ground and never give it up. or 2. You tell all your troops to focus fire on one target and hit the stop button. The unit's AI remembers the original target. The feature you're asking for is something that is not really necessary considering that we have more significant problems like optimisation and balance. After all, you can already tell them to hold ground just by following the methods I provided. And yes, hold ground is the default functionality of every unit INCLLUDING vehicles. If they chase something then it's the player's problem for ordering it to eliminate the target i.e attack function In: COH2 Gameplay

However, I foresee troll potential in larger team games with this idea, i.e. all 7 players agreeing to take a break but 1 noob troll vetoing it or something. Maybe majority should win? In a 4v4, 5 votes should be good to get a pause. I'm sure a team will pause for their mate who needs the toilet and a person on the other is kind enough to wait. Maybe introduce a time limit for a pause as well? 5-10 minutes should be enough for a regular phone call or toilet. This only takes into account that the guy is not having constipation or diarrhea (essentially puddingstorm ). If he has it, well..... In: Lobby

I knew I was ub3r and too l33t for feeble wirecutters. On-topic: I think giving them this kind of wire is ridiculous. I remember my opponent locked the northen munition and VP with this wire and I had to bring a captain to actually clear the path for my teammate. Then we met a kubel instead which I'm not gonna go into... Maybe give them regular wires unless they choose luftwaffe ground forces or fortifications for that doctrinal ability that allows you to build flaks. In: COH2 Gameplay

This game was not developed by a bunch of amateurs . There will be a lot of brainstorming behind any balance changes and I trust dev team had weighed in lot of pros and cons before implementing this, most posts I read in this thread have a view point from single faction so stop and learn to adapt. 37mm cannons were no joke may be Relic should consider adding quad cannon variant of Dornier Do 217 instead of JU-87 Schrage musik? I would love to see it shoot things below it. In: COH2 Balance

There are a lot of other imbalances in the game, and these abilities may serve to highlight them. But I don't think they necessarily contribute to them. That being said, this ability has almost never been used against me. I think it's also important to consider that Ostheer really struggles against USF this patch. Finally keep in mind that I'm speaking from a 1v1 and 2v2 perspective only. As usual, in team games I'm sure it's way worse. Wait, wait, wait. Ostheer struggle against USF this patch? That doesn't seem to be the case based on my observations. In: COH2 Balance
