It is three in the morning and I'm on my 10th beer, I hit back whilst on Netflix and ended up on this thread. Why? I dont have a fucking clue.


Anyhow I happen to member of a bookclub here in Sweden that get some non-standard books. Recently I've read the entire series of Artyom Drabinks books with stories from veterans. (Yes I do understand anecdote in plural isn't data but still, nice read) Books in the series are:

T-34 vs. Tiger
Stalin sledgehammers
Against the Luftwaffe.

Basically, one book going on about tankers, one about AT crews, and one about fighter pilots. You guys want pictures or stories I have them.


As for the war in general, highly simplified and my most personal opinion: Germans are awesome at tactics but can't get into strategy to save their life.

If you know you're going B-4, having 90 MN at all times is not a big issue -- you can just save it on a couple of other abilities / upgrades / mines, and have a super unit regularly available. But if you want to counter the B-4 and go Jaeger Armor, you'll have to have 240 ready to use recon + Stuka against it. Now THAT is what you call not having any MN for anything.

If you would have read my earlier post you would also see I bring this up. I regularly use the B-4 when it is out and has vet 1 you'll have between 350-450 muni pooled. That is 5 shots right off the bat, considering reload time, you'll most often get a couple more shots (2-3) before the muni cost will be a bigger restriction on the time between shots then reload time.

And as stated multiple times, stuka isn't the only thing to counter it, it is however the easiest, and wiping a unit from the face of the earth with two clicks 160muni is not bad, 240 if you are incapable of getting vision in any other way, or you are the only player.

And he has to spend muni on taking out all dangers there is, elite infantry and tanks, you have to fire once, twice on long games.

Stuka being the only counter? No it is the easiest, most strait forward one (imagine a 2 click counter for ISU/Jagd.) Im sounding like a broken tape recorder now, but there are several indirect and direct, hard and soft, counters to the B-4.

(Which of course doesn't excuse the 3 vet dmg buff.)

Mostly agree with this. But if we want to keep the units outside of the bases adding range to the b4 is the wrong way to go. What keeps it out in field now is its shorter range.
Sure on small maps this makes little difference. But yes disable the ability to us in the spawn is a good way to go.

regard to it needing to be weaker:

A flank by infantry will decrew it. A flank by a p4 will destroy it.

This game would be some much better without ISU-152, JT and B4

How is the B-4 even in the same leauge as those units? all do huge amounts of damage, 1 can be wiped by two clicks and 160 muni.

Wait all are saying that the precision strike is what makes the B-4 too good, but you are also saying decrewing doesn't matter?
Decrewing matters greatly, a no-vetted B-4 only does damage if someone rushes up to it from the front or if I sacrifice my mother to RNGesus to get a good hit with that spread.


As for the ability to get more B-4 for less pop.. Well that has to be a bug that needs fixing, but the B-4 (like previously stated) is restricted more by munition cost than it is restricted by pop or reload time.
