Hmm it depends if they are having a different entity type.
You can test it easily with the +10% veterancy xp bulletin in cheat commands mod. Let them kill a full health T34 that has maingun crit and see if they get more vet from it with the bulletin

I think it would be faster to just look in the attribute editor; I'll do that once I get home from work and then report back.
The P4J does have a different entity than the normal P4, so the chances aren't good.
