Agreed about the MG34 being better than the MG42 (aside from timing), it has better and faster veterancy, it reacts faster, it suppresses just as quick and costs less. It does less damage, but is arguably supported by more reliable infantry. I'd still pick the MG42 over the Vickers or Maxim though.



I totally agree. MG34 is somehow more reliable imo and suppresses a bit faster than the 42 for some reason. Plus it gets a RA bonus at vet 4 (1.25 to 1, I believe) which is very useful which other mgs don't get.

The MG34 better than the 42?? What? The 42 can suppress rifles heading at 2 opposite directions... the 34 cant do that... plus the 42s dps is higher and goes crazy with API

34 can supress like a 42, but damage is indeed lacking.

The 42 suppressed faster than the 34 and does significantly more damage for a 10mp difference... sure you lose traverse but you gain much faster suppression and higher damage

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

250 vs 260? It used to cost 210 then 235 before it became 250 after a suppression buff
