Hello all,
I would like to upgrade my PC in order to play CoH2 on max settings.
The current specs are
IPBL-LB baby ATX motherboard socket 775
Intel quad core 2,4Gzh CPU
GeForce 7570 2GB bronze core edition
CoolerMaster 750wt PSU
CoolerMaster HAF tower
I have a budget of $350 and I am thinking of i5 3570k 3.4Gz in combo with new motherboard.
What would you suggest? Once again, I would like to play the game on max settings, I would like to see crystal clear smooth graphics. So far I run CoH2 on medium settings, but what annoys me the most is slow loading time, sometimes other players have to sit and wait for me for like 7-10 minutes. 2.4GZh CPU can barely handle this game.

Get a new GPU (video card), no new CPU/Motherboard. 4x 2,4 Ghz are fine

Since your main problem is the loading time I'd get an SSD and wait for better times to upgrade the rest (both your cpu and gpu are average so upgrading just one might not cut it).
also, ram is pretty cheap now, if you have less than 8gb you should get some more.

Thanks for advice, but did you see the prices on decent SSD? My budget is only $350, and I'd rather go for Intel i5.
And you are correct saying that I have an average CPU. Yes, I do and I would like to change it to one with high performance.

makes 90 bucks for a new mobo, which will support both ram and cpu

You biggest problem is that even the cheapest i5 is pretty well $200. That means that even with a piece of crap mobo ($100), that only leaves you with $50 for memory, and COH 2 essentially screams for at least 8GB, which costs $70. Therefore, you simply can't have an i5 and a new (tolerably decent) motherboard and 8GB of DDR3 ram for your budget of $350. Instead, you should grab an AMD FX-6300 for $120, a decent AM3+ mobo for $95 (like the Asus M5A97 Rev. 2.0), and 8GB ram for $70, or even 16GB (2x8GB DDR3) for $140. Going with the AMD 6 core FX-6300 means instead $120+$95+$70 = $285. With this kind of saving, you could even spring for 16GB ram ($120+95+140 = $355), or $60-$70 for a water cooler for silently overclocking the FX-6300.

I'm building a new rig for COH2 aswell, CPU i5 4670 with mobo on Z87 chip. My question is does Coh2 benefit from Lucid virtu technology? If not i wont bother with Z87 and get a h87, maybe asrock fatal1ty one...

I decided to spend a bit more money on this upgrade. With Bill Me Later option on newegg.com I could spend $500 bucks and get it paid off in 6 months with no problem.

That i5 CPU and the 7870 GPU represent the best possble bang-for-the buck COH2 system components. Well done. If I may be so bold, allow me to recommend the Gigabyte Windforce 3 7870, which is factory overclocked out of the box at 1100MHz on the core, and represents excellent value in a 7870 card. Spending any more money on either the CPU or the GPU will only provide you with very incremental improvements in FPS which likely aren't worth the money, especially on the CPU side.
However, if you really want more performance, on the GPU side, the next really noticeable step up (I'll assume you're using a 1920x1080 monitor) from the 7870 would be either a 7970 (now called the R9 280X) for about $300, and the now-just-released R9 290 (non-'X' version) for $399. The difference in FPS can be seen in this benchmark:

Looking at the 1920x1080 benchmark, you can substitute the 7870 for the '7950b' number, as they're going to be virtually the same (give or take 1 or 2 FPS). So the i5+7870 will be giving you just under 40FPS in this quite demanding benchmark, which represents a worst-case scenario in COH2. For another ~$100 or so over the 7870, the R9 280X will merely buy you about another ~7 or 8 FPS, putting you at ~45FPS -- not the best way to spend $100 in my opinion, although you will also get significantly more performance in other games with this upgrade. Finally, by spending ~$200 more than the 7870, you can get an R9 290 card which will give you ~20 extra FPS in this benchmark, putting you at about 60FPS. If you really want to spend this extra $200 for the extra headroom it will buy you, however, I very strongly recommend that you wait for the custom cooled versions of the R9 290 that will certainly be coming out (probably by end of November) from Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, Sapphire, Club 3D, etc., and will certainly be much quieter than the just-released reference R9 290 and likely overclocked, too. These cards will likely represent the pinnacle of COH2 performance, along with the R9 290X custom cards (when they are also released).
Finally, remember that COH2 DOES NOT CURRENTLY SUPPORT MULTI-GPU, so SLI and Crossfire setups will NOT provide any additional performance over a single-card setup of the same type. This means it makes more sense to buy a single $400 R9 290 than two $200 GTX660s or two $200 7870s. This MAY change in future, but I wouldn't risk betting on it for this game, at this point.

You don't need a new copy of windows if you switch mobos. If you have problems activating it, just call Microsoft and they will help you.
Of course waiting until you can get the best system possible would be optimal, but with the amount of money you currently have available I would suggest something like this.
I5 3570k
a decent Asus mobo(P8Z77-V series for example)
8gb of 1600mhz Ram
7870 or the best you can afford.
I would not go for an A8 or an FX-6300 over an I5 3570k as the I5 will last you for years and it overclocks decently. Ive gotten mine to a stable 4.3. If you skimp on the cpu now you'll just need to reinvest in another cpu, mobo and probably the next ram standard. So down the road if you want another gpu just sell yours then upgrade.
Just my 2 cents though
