I just watched a coh2 vid on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fACbuGma1e8
At 12:33 u see a russian light tank T-70 which gets its damaged engine instanty repaired despite having health below 100%. So far I assumed that damaged parts of a vehicle can only be repaired if the HP are at 100%.
Is this premise wrong? Has the repair procedure always been that way? Or was it changed in one of the recent patches? Or do I miss a unit feature of the engineers or the T-70?

I think you can repair engine damage by fixing around 70-80% of the vehicle's damage if it came from something like a faust, AT nade, etc. Mine damage is always 100% repair to remove though, unless you are USF with crewmen "critical repair" which fixes it straight away.
I could be wrong though, so check with someone else as well.

I think it depends on the crit/way the crit was applied. Some criticals that have been applied through an action (like the panzerfaust crit) can be removed/repaired at a certain health percentage, usually around 70/80%.
