If I recall, ownership of expansions doesn't apply to multiplayer map availability?
And there don't seem to be any maps blocked out from the pool.
So does this message actually mean something of consequence?

Well, they are useless if you fight your units 1vs1. But they are all about Synergy.

I remember that it likes to say something about mods too. Usually can start the search anyway...
mastered mode: 4v3 
drops > mates > rng > pathfinding > ??? > skill

The screenshot is from automatchmaking, which is all I ever use.
