Yeah you're on about
"squad_ignore_pathfinding" = "True"
I did have the set but I hadn't realised the mod had failed to build after I put the gun in the emplacement and changed that value. The game was still running behind a multitude of other windows and I didn't notice xD

Moocats, wow I tried and failed to get mine working back when I asked.
SneakEye is the man IMO, always helpful and very knowledgeable. I gave up on making my 25lb howitzer work, but now with this new info, I'll give it another shot.
