Hi guys,

I see that the setting "low sound quality" results in a much better loading performance than the other two options.

What do I miss if I use "low sound quality"? Is it indeed only about the quality of the samples (which usually is barely hearable) or ist it also about the amount of sound files like the background chatter, distance of sounds etc?

I'm no expert on sound, but it is entirely possible that there are some fancy effects lost. Reverb was removed at one point to fix that ear-drum destroying gunshot bug.

Sample/bit-rate would definitely be the primary factor though. The highest setting uses much more memory (a testament to the amazing amount of work Relic put into audio for this game), hence worse loading times if you have limited memory.

If you want to keep higher audio settings, try lowering texture settings or disabling in-game AA to free up room in RAM or VRAM.

yes for high setting you will also hear a gunfire from far far away to remind you the engagement is going on there
