Make Ost T4 better...u get not that big rewards to tech/ build it.

t3 is in most cases much better...

I was speaking more generally in how unturreted vehicles function in the game, not about penetration values nor the StuG G against the very few and not-often used Allied heavy tanks.

Closing the distance against an opposing target puts unturreted vehicles in their most vulnerable position.

Which is why TWP is so awesome to finish off tanks and at the very least OH can have smoke to bail out from sticky situations. Generally Allied tanks are the ones that needs to dive in since all Axis stuffs works great at range.
Also don't discount the value of having 2 TDs when your opponents only got 1 heavy tanks, more tanks means more options and you don't put all your eggs in 1 basket when it get fausted or hit a mine.
With the current price/performance, there's not much to go T4 unless you are way outplayed your enemy and you tech to T4 to finish him off with Brumbarr/Pzwefer.
