Shocks do their job very well, but said job isn't valuable in the current meta.
If all match ups were possible Shocks would be incredible against the UKF and mandatory vs USF.

Shocks are fine. They are overshadowed by live version penals, double bren tommies, double bar and lmg riflemen, roflstomp commandoes and thompson rangers.

You don't see shocks because guard spam and penal spam is in the in now
Secondly, shock troops are infantry not tanks
Third and last, they are excellent at close range, use them wisely and smart, not as a main infantry unit, flanks and harassment n such.

yesterday my 2 sturms vs 2 shock troops,both in open my sturms won. Shocks are indeed awful.

That's the thing: they're not really a blob counter and they can't trade well with other close combat infantry (so almost all okw infantry plus pgrens) and team weapon spam in late game is usually backed up by one or the other, with tanks and vehicles on top of all that.
