Hello Relic and Community,

Some time ago, i watched a video on Youtube of a Company of Heroes 2 game.
This video is uploaded from this time, where the game was released.
At minute u can hear the sound of the Russian mortar and my opinion is that the sound is great!

I also like the idea of bringing back the old unit symbols (And this which are on the commanders) (silver) which u can see on the beginning of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BGT7AHa5-c

The mortar sound, i spoke about can be heard at minute 3.28-30

Perhaps you like more things which only were in the old version of CoH2 ?!

I also like the sound of the Guardsmen.... :lol:

Nice sounds, actually, would be great to have them back :D

And also - I think some sounds and vocies from... CoH 1 could be used in CoH2. CoH 1 sounds and voices were really awesome, so it would be great.

the unit icons look much better actually
overall i must say, it looked and sounded much better. the generic mortar sounds are just annoying atm. especially when they keep wiping your squads..

The Mortar sound is indeed nice. Or just let us mod the game (Infantry Skin + Soundmod)

Guys, i have made thread on official forum about rejected icons for USSR and Ostheer (https://community.companyofheroes.com/discussion/241935/bring-back-icons-for-ussr-and-wehrmacht). I think, you can something the same, but for old sounds. There you can be heard, i guess.

Hello!

U can read here, that Relic has a eye on "Popular ideas" and i spoke with many people. Many people are affected from this idea....
If we show Relic that more people are wanting this, i think it will something change!

100% agreed, great mortar sound.

A suggestion from my side: Bring back the sound of FG42 (Fallschirmjäger) from coh1. Currently they sound like small calibre MPs which is completely silly. The coh1 sound had a much slower rate of fire, somehow similar to the BAR in coh2.

The FG42 was a very special gun and it should not have a generic MP sound file.

Good stuff. I also want arty explosions to look powerful like they used to. Let people run lower settings if that's the problem.

I do like the sound.

At VERY LEAST, add it so we can differentiate mortar sounds. Is that MY Gr34 being fired...or the enemy's??
