It is a significant feature, which basically takes away the competitive factor from this game. Being able to save your vehicles with zero risk whatsoever. One wonders why the SU has no such ability, not even in their docs. OST can get it through their docs at least.

Yeah, but vehicles that have it generally needs it.

Churchill can far smoke to cover infantry that follows after it.
Comet/ Cromwell smoke shell is much harder to use than Panzer Tactician. Comet rank 1 WP smoke is actually a pretty nice Anti personnel shell.
Flak Halftrack and Puma use smoke to survive because it is squishy.
Pz tactician is a doctrinal bonus. Picking it means abandoning other things.

At least that is what I think :/

Well, you forget that most allied tanks out range their counterparts, also, the su85 is self spotting

Also, they have self healing. Doc and non doc (whatever army you choose)

Vehicle decrew, shit like that

And Axis has invisibility, blitz, armour veterency, TWP, and loads of other abilities. It's like this game is asymmetrically balanced or something, weird right?

And which tanks excatly outrange axis counterparts?

Becasue Stug, Elephant and Command Panther or vetted JPIV can't selfspot...

OKW has free repairs but smoke to survive > reparis.

Yeah, but Puma is an armored car made of wet tissue. (Compared to tanks at least)
Tiger Ace is 1 off, with MP penalties and all.

All factions should be clones of each other with different models, here we go again.

OKW has a lot of smoke. Ost doesnt have non-doc vehicle smoke, but once they get it they get it on every single vehicle. Sovs doesnt have vehicle smoke but they make up for it in other unit stats so its a non-issue.

What stats do you mean? On T34-76 for example.

You mean like superior armor, superior guns, superior blitz ability or secure mode? :foreveralone:

I mean usability of the faction as a whole. Soviets never had any vehicle smoke, but they have always been most picked faction in tournaments (in most recent ones its slightly different due to the fact we have only 2 axis factions). And in all tournaments since the dawn of coh2 soviets always had over 50% win rate. In my own experience they were the faction I always had best rank with, when I used to play more. So even if you see some problems in soviet faction, its not due to the lack of smoke.

I don't like smoke at all on vehicles. Yes I play Axis mostly and I know how practical Ostheer smoke is, but it's just stupid.

IMO all smoke should be like the Sherman smoke.

Yes, I think that since every single little difference between factions could cause imbalance, all factions should be exactly the same right down to the smallest details. Balance problems solved!

That's not about asymmetric balance or faction differences. That is just unnecessary micro for the guys who miss this heavenly feature.
