I kinda feel like most people around here would be offended by the insinuation you of asking us like we'd get it.

Which is all I can explain because I can't.

Well i should have wrote the question in a better way, sorry about that

Where did this idea of putting anime into CoH2 come from? What did so people thought ''damn son, i want some anime in the game!'' sorry that is what i should have said in the first post

Is it because of the huge number i have seen of asians playing the game? Most of these anime stuff i have seen in the workshop has the name of some asian language

Is it because of some streamer/youtube video that came up with the idea of having anime stuff on your tanks in the game to be a cool thing?

I mean what started the trend? Cause its not like people are putting Intel logo on their tanks in the game or putting the logo of some clothing line, something must have started so people thought the idea of having anime stuff on their tanks in the game to a trend, so that is what i am curious to know

Weebs gonna weeb.

They will consume everything with anime when you give customization options, not just CoH2.

I recommend you play this, it sounds right up your alley.

It came from people being overly attached to cartoons and wanting to force them into everything.

That game is only a month old.

Young geeky males tend to love anime. They are going to put things they love in other things they love. No rocket science to be had here. COH2 isn't a simulator. Immersion is a relatively low priority for most, I'd imagine.

Fetishism aside, there are popular anime(s?) that feature World War 2 tanks and such, which is the most likely reason I'd say.

TBH I have never seen any kind of anime in CoH2. Yes, I don't use the modding hub pretty much at all and besides from Helping Hans' streams, I don't actually know what the problem is.

I don't have a problem with this, the point of this thread for me is to understand where the idea of anime in CoH2 came from since it seems to be a very popular thing in the steam workshop

Japanese people love anime and WW2 history. Weeaboos love these things too because Japanese do. There are animes like Girl Und Panzer that kinda perpetuate these themes. I can't say why COH specifically has a concentration, but I know World of Tanks and Warthunder have some. Just like at TheMightyJingles. Nice guy, but kinda weird since he's an old guy really into anime loli

It's one of the (many, many) reasons I don't touch custom games.

In the past there was no way to prevent the download of custom crap, only hide it ingame. Is this still the case?

Eventough I like anime I find it extremely frustrating that my inventory is filled with anime faceplates and decals etcetc after playing with someone, they're not fit to a ww2 game but who am I to judge?

Nowhere, if you don't visit the Store/ModdingHub or don't play custom games.
