Relic recently released a hotfix for the vet bug where no offensive bonuses to reinforced entities were imparted.

So how do vetted up squads feel compared to their less experienced counterparts now that you don't have to keep every model alive the whole time? I started using Cheat Mod for the first time to find out.

Note: For all these videos, the main units are invulnerable so that RNG and defensive stats didn't come into it. Also, I'm not sure how to drop slot weapons yet, so I haven't yet tested units with complicated requirements for weapon upgrades.

Alright, let's kick things off with sturmpioneers, while also confirming that the bug has been resolved by killing them off and reinforcing them first.




Some basic Volksgrenadiers against Rifles.




More basics with Conscripts against Grenadiers (No LMG42)




And the other way around:




Rifles vs Grens




Penal Battalions against Grens (Ok, now we're getting interesting)




Panzergrenadiers vs Rifles




Panzerfusiliers vs Rifles




Obers (with LMG34) vs Rifles (with a twist!)

Can you please do Panzer gren 3 vet vs 3 vet shock troopers- close quarters? I want to see who will win.

My guess is shock troops will win fairly easily.

Also you should do max vet ir-stg44 obers vs shocks... Although I know who wins that (obers, like a hot knife through butter)

There is a miscellaneous spawner that looks like the unit spawner in cheat mod. You can make weapons with it. I also did some tests, a vet 3 rifle with 1 bar seems to have about 60% chance to beat 2 vet 0 grens if he charges into them and they aren't behind cover.

Good vids.

I hate automatic suppression on obers which reduces their DPS (suppressed squads take less damage for some time), wish obers supression was an actual ability.

why vet5 vs vet0? Not really ingame scenario most of the time. Lets test vet5 OKW units vs vet3 Allied double BAR/ BREN/ M1919.

Because I quickly realised that there are sooooooooooooo many possible permutations. The main goal was to see whether or not vet turns units into the crazy terminators that everybody seemed to expect once the hotfix landed.

Shocks will definetily win.pgrens are paper and only 4 models in the squad.

It was to compare dps from vet 1 to vet 5 or 3 not compare dps with other unit

Cannot compare units that have paid munitions for upgrades. Same argument then as grens with lag vs conscripts. Asymmetrical balance isn't meant to be fair.

I'm not trying to demonstrate any sort of balance. It's simply about letting people know what DPS they can expect from a fully vetted squad, compared to a fresh one. And a lot of those units almost always have upgraded weapons, so I want to show them with those. I just didn't know how to for all of them at the time.

And then the Obersoldaten can casually walk up to the suppressed squad, get within 10m for point blank range, and wipe them out in a few seconds :)

Suppression reduces dmg suppressed squad takes.
