I haven't been here long, but I pose several questions to those who have been around upwards of several years.

How many staff members are relatively active, and where do you think the community is, in terms of demographics, content, skill, and general quality. Is the community growing or shrinking?

The staff members are on everyday and i think thanks to Ami, ESL the community is growing from all over the world. Skill wise is ever evolving, so i'd say there's alot of meta discussion and patches following that.

most of the coloured people are active, although it isn't always super obvious.

CoH2's demographics are smaller than launch but i think they're fairly stable. check the steam demographics for the game to get a better idea.

Well I've only been here since April last year and I joined the moderators in October, as I'm sure no one remembers me starting as a lowly referee in September for OCF. I am by no means old guard, just quite active.

I'm not a frequent user, nor am I particularly connected to the meta, community and the daily shenanigans. I'm a player since the last couple of years of CoH1. My general perception is that the game got better, the community in general is stable, and the vocal minority is built upon young folks with adaptation issues. I admit, however, that I could be very wrong about this last statement.

Game is def better, community is less salty overall, less "allied fan boy" "axis weaboo's".

Mods can get a little over the top with invis but we seem to be getting a broader audience due to the real forums being down. Meaning we get more questions from lower skilled players giving us a better view of the balance of 250+.

TLDR: Bring on the 250+ players!

But would you consider that the amount of "competitive" players is lowering down ?

The coh2 community ain't all that bad. I feel like the players who have been around for 2+ years are kindred spirits at this point.

I've been here so long I actually don't know who any of you are anymore :)

I play infrequently, I sometimes start to get hooked again and want to keep playing, but I've gotten bored of re-learning the game entirely every time Relic releases a massive patch that alters everything. #SICKOFADAPTING

And somehow I don't suck at OKW despite Brits...

what do you mean by competitive players? like players who fiend ladder, or players who play in tournaments. in both cases, people leave, but new people arise as well.

Ya, I joined like right after OCF ended, I was looking through and the news and interviews, I hope Ami does another tournament like that, he's probably my favourite commentator, him and krebs. :>
